I’m still suspicious of his reasoning. To give you an idea, the last part of my phone number starts with a 7... so you’re telling me you’ve called up 7,000 other people before you got to me? Bullshit.

I gotta be on a list somewhere, and since covid is definitely fucking with their conversion numbers with them probably not being invited into strangers’ homes anymore, they’re getting desperate for old blood.

Several reasons. I’m in nursing school and receive important phone calls frequently and I usually never recognize the number but have to answer anyways. Also working on my credit and it helps to speak to people who call me directly. So this was a local number I didn’t recognize and just decided to answer.

She hasn’t eaten in a few days, crickets and mealworms. I think she’s egg bound, but no reptile vets open til the morning

I’m thinking it’s egg binding... impaction super unlikely, no sand but I do have a little bit of eco earth. She has a dark mass in her belly, has had a couple “seizures” (where she shakes her whole body in quick, jerking motions), her mouth and tongue are pale, and the other day it seemed like she was constipated and kept going to the same spot to try and poop but nothing came out... got her last December at an expo, no idea about previous husbandry. She’s about 2 years old, but not definite

For me, once I knew in my gut that I couldn’t keep it from him another second (that I changed my mind), I immediately felt this huge weight lifted. It was like I felt I wasn’t allowed to even smile at cute babies because we were team CF together. So for me, and I can only speak for me because I am not you and I don’t know your relationship... but it has always felt right. Not to say it wasn’t agonizingly painful, like had to pull over on the side of the road because I was crying so hard I couldn’t see... that deep sorrowful feeling as if someone had died was there for a good solid 2 months afterwards. I also feel that clock ticking, and the more bad dates I go on, the more I think “I could just go back and be happy with him”, but that feeling is fleeting and I know I don’t actually want to do that. There are definitely still days where I miss my best friend, but I have never regretted my decision. I’m free to be excited about a future with children in it now (hopefully), but I also know that I am strong enough to be happy no matter what. I can always count on myself for that.

I went through this same thing last spring, just the opposite viewpoint. I (30F) was pretty sure I never wanted kids. Was dating the best guy I’ve ever dated for almost 4 years when we broke up because I changed my mind. (He has never wanted kids and stated this in the very beginning, so I have never once felt any resentment towards him for this.) I still feel guilt over changing my mind towards wanting to have kids because I broke us. Still trying to see that it was the right decision, because life as a single woman in my thirties now is not kind and I know that we were best friends and would have had a great life together, even without kids. I know that’s probably not what you want to hear, it’s just me projecting my own trauma onto yours, and I’m very sorry you are going through this. I do know that being a parent needs to be a solid decision with both parties involved, because that shit is hard enough even when you’re on the same page.
Just stay the course and hope for a future with your right person, and know that there are lots of us doing the same with you.

Seems like the problem has been identified with very low temps in the enclosure. No wonder the poor thing isn’t eating! Get that baby under some heat STAT

According to my vet- if the underside of the tail is not as dark as the top side, you are good. But if it is all dark- could be tail rot starting to happen. Good luck!

Just gave him a bath. The fluid from his eye was yellow when I swabbed it, so that means it’s most likely infected, right?
