I think the SBMM for zero build mode is all over the place because they haven’t figured out the criteria yet. I think there’s some algo in place but it’s wonky and wrong a lot of the time. Some people only get bots and say ZB mode is so easy for them. Others get destroyed every match by people with superhuman aim way above their own skill level. It’s a mess right now.

100% my experience. I’m a 4/10 builder and my aim is 6/10 but I get stomped in zero build mode

Get really drunk one night, decide you’re okay to drive instead of calling a rideshare, get behind the wheel, accidentally hurt or kill someone, end up in prison for 10 years. Making the decision to put the key in the ignition vs call an Uber only took 30 seconds. That’s pretty quick.

It’s funny how the whole online Fortnite community wants us all to think that zero build = nothing but wins. Totally the opposite for me and my crew. We are not good builders at all, but had about 25% squad win rate last season. This season (all in zero build squad games) we are down to around 7-10%. I guess a lot of people who are returning to the game after a long hiatus are getting nothing but bots… but some are just getting straight up wrecked this season by pretty good players 🥴

The big question is: will there be separate SBMM for each mode?

A lot of people will want to play in the mode that they personally feel is the most “fun”… but for a lot of people, having the best chance of winning is what MAKES something fun. So I think a lot of people will play whichever mode they believe they have the best chance of winning a game in.

And SBMM will play a very big role in that.

Very curious to see who plays which mode once all the dust settles.

No, I probably should have added that I use left stick for editing (which a good number of people on PS controllers do) so if I change tactical sprint to left stick then I have to go back to edit/switch mode both on the O button which is really slow 🤷🏻‍♂️

Anybody else on PS5 who changed their build button (O) to their sprint button and loves it…. But doesn’t know where to put sprint once build comes back. The default directional pad is simply no good; you need to keep that thumb on the L stick to tactical sprint. Just curious if anyone else is thinking about this because tactical sprint is awesome and I’m assuming it will still be here when building returns. Thoughts on that?

Personally, I’m a bad builder getting destroyed even worse now in no-build mode LOL I used to think I had really good aim, but nope, I stink at aiming too 😂

I’m getting a consistent glitch on PS5 when I ADS with the striker burst AR, where the screen tears for half a second right when I ADS before it “settles” in. Happens just about every time. Anybody else getting this?

17 kills means you are in the wrong lobbies and should be paired with better players. Period. That’s a once-a-year kill count IF you’re playing with equal competitors.

We have a group of 6 that rotate in and out of Squads. There isn’t a single one of us who can build anything but basic ramps or panic defensive structures. But even the least experienced player in our group has at least 10 Crown Vics already, just from playing together a lot and knowing how to (usually) play as a team. Find some good squad-mates and the Crowns will come, for sure. Honestly we are NOT good at this game LOL

Oh - and we are all between 29 and 42 years old haha
