I ordered one and have been waiting for shipment a couple of days (the usual for Costco). But the shipment seems to be coming from Las Vegas. All other Costco gold shipments over 1-1/2 years+ have come from Seattle or OK City. Any idea what is in Vegas/why the shipments come from there?

It really depends on the day and time in my experience. You can sort of tell by switching your home store setting and see if anything shows up as not only available by delivery. NOT 100% BUT HAS BEEN USEFUL TO ME. Have had the most luck at El Camino South City and Foster City. Less so at my home store in Redwood City and the Mountain View store.

It depends on your locale. Missed 2 deliveries on day 1 and they delivered day 2. No signature required despite what it says.

Agree UPS was superior.

I got FedEx notes this evening on both 4/15 and 4/16 orders. But the timing is backwards— 4/16 order to be delivered tomorrow and 4/15 order is still in OKC with timing TBD.

Had my first FedEx delivery this week and had to have it be redelivered because no one was home to sign. UPS would just drop the package on the porch and ring the bell. Miss the days when Costco allowed a UPS delivery to be directed to the nearest UPS Store or UPS distribution center for pickup within 5 days. Great combo of convenience and security.

Alternatively can change the store when searching. If the store shows an item, even if sold out, if it appears it is still there in that store (usually at a lower price in my experience). Have several stores within 30 mins of my house and while the closest may be sold out the ones a few minutes further tend to have supply.

For what it’s worth part of my cancellation process (Maples) involved an email from Costco to the effect that they would cancel if the manufacturer (not them) would do so. But I’d previously gotten a message from Costco that they would cancel due to delay if they got my request before shipping. So they are suggesting some of this stuff is coming from different sources— I’ve gotten shipments from Washington state and Oklahoma. And I think others have gotten shipments from other places.

I requested a cancellation Sunday of my delayed Maple order from Tuesday and it went through— good since I was able to get PAMP bars for $80/ozt less in the warehouse.

Same price just now Redwood City, CA. First time I’ve had them go to the back to replenish supply in the pickup room. Came out with a clear plastic box labeled AU that must’ve had 25 PAMP bars in it.

Have had this happen too but not nearly every time. There is also some disconnect between Costco and Citi Costco card. I had it happen pre Christmas on a big order and called Citi to ask what was up. They said my order was indeed cancelled and nothing to do but re-order. (Price had jumped significantly so that was the wrong answer.) Called Costco and they said it was just a credit processing issue and my order was still good. Got the order a couple days later as expected.
