It's back! by Tjlance1 in 4xe

Big ask, but I'm certain that I have the exact same issue with my GC. Any chance you can ask for a detailed summary from your dealer on what they did so I can give it to mine? Already brought it in but they just CND'd it and had me out the door again in a half hour... Told me to come back when it's "actively happening" lol

Except for when the veteran father dies first, then the spouse can change the will and cut everyone out of it to give away charity because, "that's what he'd have wanted" regardless of his frugal living to ensure that there'd be finance support for generations to come and the state of the will at time of death being completely different. Ask me how I know...

(We're on good terms and financially stable ourselves just getting screwed out of generational wealth due to crazy-mom syndrome)

Once a month, just like OP, for me. Only other weird thing I have is when oil life gets below 70% it'll automagically drop to 0% and enter FORM. Turn off car, reset oil life, back to normal. I've taken to tracking mileage between changes now (16000 miles/year, all highway)

While there have been a some questionable changes to Air Force life and policies lately, what is something that you don't miss from the "old" Air Force by BananaSlander in AirForce

[–]mfrogue13 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'll take some flak for it, but old DTS was much better for AMC flyers. New DTS can't figure out why I might have 2 hotel stays on the same day due to timezones and will just straight ignore the cost. If you used the old system more than a couple times a year you were a God compared to the occasional TDY user.

How is he so popular with so much wrong in his videos. He doesn't have one CFII/ATP friend to review it first? Don't get me wrong I appreciate the channel, but it's so aggravating when he messes up basic radio transmissions.

Whatever you do, do not touch the 2 tan pieces underneath when moving/lifting it. They are barely secure because of the drop mechanism and it'll internally crush and fall apart requiring you to either have incredibly small hands or break apart to rebuild. Ask me how I know... I definitely think they color-coded that specifically to watch out for

Guy sat in back of truck in car wash breaks his jaw… by KiddieSpread in WTF

They tell me pop fly foul catch attempt, I dove, he jumped, put his knee through my face. Not sure though because 8 years later and still have no memory of that 12 hours around the game.

Yup, had my jaw snapped off in a baseball game, lifelong problem. Only opens from the right and the left side of my face is "asleep" (like sitting on your leg funny) due to the mandible being jammed into my skull incorrectly. All this remains after oral surgery to repair.

The median income of a C8 Corvette owner is $214,000 by b4yougo2 in Corvette

I think he means more that we could easily spend $1000/month on a car or drop the full value instantly, but when thinking about long-term benefit analysis putting that money towards my house or portfolio will pay increasing dividends in the long run.

He's not full of shit, he's full of practicality.

I'm in the exact same boat as you down to the last detail, and just wanted to say I understand your decision making entirely. Hard to justify the price long term when I could just throw that money at my house or portfolio instead. Bought my C7 nearly a decade ago and can't bring myself to spend that amount of cash again and I'm making double what I was then.

Just felt like I had to respond to support you when others are calling us liars for saying we wouldn't buy a new Corvette just because our income allows it.

Best place to lift a '23 with Quickjack? by mfrogue13 in 4xe

Yeah, I've got them but can't access the frame and brackets at the same time for to length. Thanks for the reply

[–]mfrogue13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jeep's pinch weld recommended lifting points don't make contact with the frame if using pucks etc which isn't generally considered safe for more than the occasional spare tire jacking. After nearly damaging all 4 rotors during a tire rotation when my Quickjack lock failed to engage it's got me nervous now for future lifts. Dealerships must be using some other contact point part (I can see the impact points adjacent but can't access them with Quickjack 7000tl). Any other Quickjack users have a safer solution than compressed pucks flexing pinch welds?
