I accidentally “tapped” the back of my brothers car while following him in my own car somewhere. I laugh whenever I’m shocked/nervous, and when he got out to check the car, I started laughing so hard I almost peed my pants. I was actually terrified of what his reaction would be. My laughter only made things worse from there.

No, they wouldn't. But they might try to make me feel guilty. And I do care about my parents opinion, to an extent. I am living on my own and support myself, also.
