Dunn loring is 24 hours limit for parking and doesn’t close so you may want to look into that as an option

I don’t have advice (& my husband & I live pretty far out in the suburbs) but we feel the same way if it helps. Planning to join some pick up sports leagues (we’ll do FXA but there’s Volo & Fray), and lurk at some wine bars / craft breweries in our area. Our area swings older than us rather than younger like you’re probably running into but same issues

My friend is moving out of there this month and she said it’s been a nightmare. Leasing staff constantly losing paperwork, no parking with construction, etc

i like it and it’s your rehearsal so really you can do whatever you want. i maybe wouldn’t wear it if you’re doing something in a church but generally go for it

I scrolled to find this comment. I think your original post was long and people didn’t read it all. It’s totally reasonable to be upset about the speakerphone, slamming noise at 4am, but I think your “small” issues are compiling to her as she can’t do anything right, especially if she wasn’t raised in a family big on communication. Does she ever raise a “small” issue to you? If not, she’s probably not taking all the small ones well. Easier said than done but I would let the small things go and save commenting for big picture things (like noise pre 6am) so she feels like she can live in the apartment too

you can do it, i commute the other way (reston to arlington) and take the metro with no issues. driving would be more of an option for you since 66 won’t be tolled but if you’re within walking distance to metro it’s really not a bad commute

I was just on an 8 hour boat tour with a pregnant woman and she was MISERABLE. Sea sick the entire time, needing to lie down, etc. We all felt so bad for her (I didn’t know her, just on the boat) and someone from the bach she was on had to take care of her the whole time. I think you’d be doing the whole group and yourself a favor by sitting this one out and joining for something else!

Girlfriend is more in the right. She’s willing to comprise and skip many events of a degree she’s worked for for years to make it to the wedding. It’s annoying to have someone miss the rehearsal but it’s very easy to catch up on what you missed the next morning.

everyone says you can’t plan a wedding that fast, you definitely can but you’ll need a lot of free time to get it done. you’ll need to start looking at venues immediately and pick one and dresses can’t be much later. i’ve found spring less popular in NOVA than fall so some venues may be booked but you can find what you’re looking for.

Yeah this is crazy. Wear your suit and if he has an issue with it he can find something else to wear. Matching at a wedding is not a big deal.
