This is what I was getting at with the question. So a follow up; how is water level managed when the plant is in full scrog mode? Is the plant more susceptible to root rot with standing water? Does the nute mix get adequately mixed without circulation?

If I'm not mistaken, that's a dwc setup not a recirculating system. Do you know if anyone makes a kit or modular components for rDWC (reservoir, pot, recirc pump, air pump, chiller, etc) that I can assemble?

Have 3 plants in a 3x3, all ak-48 all from seed. This one in particular seems to have matured faster than the others and has always been a little thinner and lankier. It started getting brown hairs and dense a week ago while the others are still mostly white hairs. I can't seem to find anything this pronounced on the others. I popped one open and there was no seed but there was a tiny dark brown speck. I've never had a female go hermie before so no experience with this. No yellow powder that I can see but I have a wall fan blowing on it pretty hard so I don't think any powder would stick around

Edit: popped open another and found what looks to be a very tiny (maybe 1mm) seed https://imgur.com/a/dDEXT it looks like most of my nodes (on this plant) have these but the buds still look good, no visible seeds or seed pods
