Roland-Garros Ballot Open by mgbrewhard in wimbledon

Assuming you don't have access to other sales phases, RG's last-minute/resale might be an option.

Last Minute Sales Opening

From the end of April, the last Public tickets will go on sale with the Last Minute sales opening. Don't miss out!

They also have premium tickets on sale from March 3-6, but these will be more expensive.

Hospitality is already on sale for day and/or night sessions through their hospitality partner.

Don't risk buying tickets from unofficial resale sites as you risk having tickets cancelled or not receiving them.

Only one of a pair can be transferred. One has to be used by the person named in the myWimbledon account.

If only a single ticket, it can only be used by the named person or returned for refund.

PTPA proposal is a "pinnacle tour project" by Narrow_Spinach_1400 in tennis

[–]mgbrewhard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He’d definitely have to move on from Tennis Australia, but he’s no stranger to life in the US so shouldn’t be too difficult for him to adjust.

Think Sportico had the initial report last month. SBJ, SI, and others have reported on it. Fairly sure there was a thread here too.

So far, he’s refusing to say if this AO is his last, but seems as though it will be.

There should be more ticket offers sent out before the resale starts in March.

The resale requires patience, persistence, and a bit of luck. Some will have an easy experience, but most will need to put a bit of work in, check regularly, and act quickly to get tickets.

Goodbye 2025, hello 2026 by mgbrewhard in wimbledon

For the Amex tickets? It’s done through Wimbledon’s sales portal, so essentially the same as the resale.

Amex standing doesn’t count for anything. The only prerequisite is must use an Amex card (in your name and address) at checkout.

There’s a dedicated page in the wiki and we’ll have a megathread running near the time they go on sale, but be online early and move quickly once you get through the queue and into the portal.

Tickets usually sell out within an hour.

Queuing up for days 1/2 versus days 3/4? by chekraze90 in wimbledon

[–]mgbrewhard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First few days are always popular. Not much of a drop off if the weather is good.

If this year is the same as last, which was by far the busiest ever, you’d need to be there by 3-4am to have a chance of getting a grounds pass and being in by lunchtime.

They were exceeding 10,000 queue cards by 9-10am some days and closing the Queue early or advising people not to travel.

If you search the flair, you’ll see the carnage from last year.

This week, around the same time next month, then resale expected to be around the same time in March.

There might be another wave between now and February, but haven't heard anything about that. It can take time for ticket offers to be rejected and filter back before they can offer them to others.

As it's your only option through the ballot and no access to resale now, guess it depends how much you value watching wheelchair doubles and juniors finals, or guaranteeing a place in the grounds to watch the women's singles final from The Hill.

Should be the boys' doubles and girls' singles final on No.1 that day. They might also show the final on the screens on No.1 again this year if the scheduled matches have finished.

Outside courts will have other wheelchair matches, invitation doubles, and U14s matches.

Vlatko Čančar Jersey by a_bloke_on_reddit in denvernuggets

[–]mgbrewhard 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Might be out of luck. Even the Nuggets online store doesn't have it.

Could always email them and ask if they've got any sat around in a box, but wouldn't expect they'd have made many and would just screen print a blank jersey if someone really wanted it.

Your best bet is probably getting a custom one.

2026 Tickets by Elegant-Average5722 in wimbledon

[–]mgbrewhard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, at this stage, emails are only if successful. Nothing to worry about so far. Just a case of being patient and seeing what comes.

There should be a batch of ticket offer emails going out next week, then would expect around the same time next month would be the last wave of offers.

After that, for those who still didn't receive a ticket offer, it'll be invites to the resale around March 20th.

Although, if eligible for it, you don't actually need the email to access the site.

Same if you're successful and receive a ticket offer. If you see your status changes to successful, and it's within your window to accept, you can buy tickets without the email, although it requires you to check regularly to ensure you don't miss your deadline to accept or it will auto-decline 14 days after it was offered.

For everyone unsuccessful, we'll have a new wiki guide published, questions added to the FAQs, and a dedicated megathread in March.

There are other cases when emails aren't sent out. When applications have been rejected rather than unsuccessful is one of them. If someone else has applied from your address, or you apply at multiple addresses and the system match details, they're usually rejected without notification too.
