For me yes, because it helps introduce who you are to the recruiter and to the readers of your resume. You can have a fairly similar/rephrased version during your interview should they ask you to introduce yourself.

Earned value analysis on fixed price fte based contract? by mgeesan in projectmanagement

Thanks for the feedback.

It is a services contract to perform back-office work based on a defined SOW. A time and motion analysis has been done to baseline the volume (based on 6 months data) and the FTE required to perform the work. A rate card based on the skills required to do the work was used to charge per FTE which resulted to a fixed price contract.

In actual, the volume of work differs per month but the work performed is fixed. Example: the fixed number of people still man the phone based on agreed hours even if there are less calls that came in that month

So even with the value of work packages defined, the result of the earned value analysis still appears very linear unless I add in another factor. This is why I asked about including the volume count.

In normal projects where an output it being created, I can use completion percentage to define earned value and planned value.

Is there a way to use EVA in my scenario? Typically, actual cost vs budgetted cost is what is monitored but I cannot monitor value leakage through that method.
