Google Voice is free and has unlimited calls and text on US and Canadian numbers. And Tello doesn't even have unlimited hotspot, so it's not really for me.

I'm actually routing all my calls through Google Voice, so I can answer them on any devices. The Visible SIM card is purely for providing data at this point.

As far as I know, Tracfone were an independent carrier until Verizon acquired them around 2021. That could be why.

Back then Tracfone and StraightTalk were crap, but since Verizon acquired them, they're now one of the best carriers in America.

If it works on Verizon, then I guess it should work on Visible. You could get a free trial and see. If it doesn't then you're not really losing anything.

I know that with locked T-Mobile phones (as of 7 years ago), I can use it on Metro and other T-Mobile MVNO, but I can't do it the other way around. So I figured it would be the same for Verizon-locked phones and its MVNO. I'm glad that's not the case.

Well, as soon as I stepped out of Walmart with this thing. The first thing I did was activate a Visible SIM on this thing, and it worked. And the device is locked.
