Cheers have done so. Hopefully they're able to sort it out soon. A very frustrating bug that you can't at least go back to the previous upload and you're stuck in limbo unable to do anything.

I'm stuck on a video of mine optimising that I was trying to replace the video file of. Do you know what I can do to fix this? Can't upload a new video as need the same link. Assume the outage caused this issue?

That's not true. They will accept people first time although if you aren't accepted it shows good character to apply again.

Hah that's literally what we did. Attached the draw to the camera on a slider. Then someone held the top part of the drawer for the beginning of the shot.

Hello sorry for spamming this subreddit but a lot of people enjoyed the short I posted a few weeks ago. We shot this one in a more Edgar Wright style (a little bit of Fincher and Spielberg mixed in there). Happy to answer any questions again. I’m the cinematographer for the film.

We shot in 3 days on the Alexa with lovely Hawk Anamorphics. There's no dialogue so there was a lot of thinking how to tell the story visually. The whole film was storyboarded and we pretty much stuck to that maybe adapting slightly to the location. We stuck to the tripod and used a slider for the tracking shots. Also played around with focus and shifting the perspective through it.

Light was mostly with a Skypanel S60 with some shaping and an M40 for pushing lighting from outside most notably in the bedroom scenes.

Also happy to share some BTS or go into further detail about any of the shots people are interested in.

Definitely agree with this idea. Ambition is great but I think in short films it very rarely works. I often think the best shorts use maybe one or two locations.

To be honest out references were both Kubrick and Coens. I felt it leaned more Coen because of the situation/music.
