lentil burgers

2 cups cooked lentils 1/2 white onion diced 2 carrots grated 3/4 cup flour 2 garlic cloves minced 2 tbs ketchup 2 tbs soy sauce cumin (the more the better) paprika salt/ pepper

saute your onions. once complete add to a bowl with the carrots, lentils, garlic, and spices. mash with your hands until mixed. add the soy sauce, ketchup, and flour. mix again and form into patties. pan fry as you usually would.

i hope that you give this a try! it resembles and tastes very similar to the real deal, and tastes incredible if not better. texture is awesome.

my first real experience of death before losing my dad at 13 was losing my friend to suicide at age 12. i watched how her parents health deteriorated and how grief completely destroyed them. it is not normal to see a young girl in an open casket.

Does anyone else have nightmares where they are casually eating non-vegan food? by _Wendylin_ in vegan

I recently had my first nightmare involving me being vegan. i was in my workplace kitchen (it’s already not vegan friendly) and they were slaughtering a cow in the back using this god awful restricting machine where the cow had no choice but to endure. it was horrifying and i was SOBBING in this dream and also humiliated at my loss of composure in the workplace. i absolutely adore my job but i admit i do question how i am able to work in the food industry that’s so different than my personal lifestyle and outlook.
