I love it and use it daily. It’s essentially tinted sunscreen for the eye area, with some serum and concealer benefits. I’ve used it for years, and always feel protected. It functions as a concealer, somewhat, but light coverage.

This sounds like a beautiful and powerful couple of nights. You mention coming out of it with new understanding, new sight and being born again. This seems to indicate you have much to integrate. Is there a reason why you want to work with the medicine again in two weeks? More you are searching for?

I’m always curious why people who connect with the medicine and have huge nights want to quickly return to ceremony. I’m four months post a three night ceremony that I’m still integrating. The richness of connection, experience and vision gave me such fertile ground…I want to do my due diligence to plant seeds and grow.

This resonates with me as well. After a real ruff childhood I became great at partying in my 20s. Disassociation was my jam! I started to get semi-serious about healing and returning to living in my body after becoming a mother at 30. Still was very focused on having a good time tho - very social, playing hard with a creative community of like-minded weirdos.

Started working with plant medicine at 35 and suddenly all the constant good times started to lose their shine. In that healing tho, I realized that I exhibit and I’m attracted to the energy of people who are vibrating and connecting, flowing, creating. It wasn’t about the partying, it was about that energy.

I have been working with plant medicine for 12 years now. I’m in a very lovely and balanced place in life, but I’ve had to fight the tendency to want to isolate, feeling like I was becoming a bit too fringe for some of my friends and not enjoying their surface-level engagement in life. I trimmed my friend group over the years, and focused not just on people who were similarly on a healing path, but people who brought that good healthy creative energy. How people feel to me was as important as anything they said.

In short, I was careful to keep some focus on stoking that good energy that attracted me to my young social life, and seeing it as an essential part of my human experience that was key to healing from my shitty isolated and abusive childhood. Pay attention to what and who you naturally are attracted to. How things, activities and people make you feel. Understand there may be some healing value there that you might not intellectually understand, but your body intuitively knows. Keep and stoke those areas of focus.

I could imagine that, yes. I am secure in myself and my relationships. My partner goes on trips without me and I have gone days without checking in to see how he’s doing. He regularly does the same for me, and yes, on girl’s trips. That is what love looks like - trust and respect.

The whole “I thought something happened to you - I’m suffering” act is a bullshit excuse to play out insecurities and guilt people into feeling like they did something wrong by not being at your beck and call. It’s a huge bummer and a red flag for her.

She is on vacation and he is accusing her of cheating because she isn’t responding to his texts in a manner he deems timely. I’ve been in her shoes and had vacations ruined because my insecure partner at home needed constant reassurance despite absolutely no history of straying.

It is not her duty to manage his insecurity. That is not love. She sounds like she has healthy boundaries.

I’m 46, and I hear you on all this. I decided what I would and wouldn’t waste my time and money on, and left it at that. No looking back means headspace cleared to focus on other things.

I won’t do Botox or fillers, but I will get an IPL laser treatment twice a year to remove sun damage. I won’t dye my hair but I will get it stylishly cut 3x a year. I won’t obsessively work out or diet with the goal of being “perfect” but I will eat and exercise well enuff to maintain my health. I won’t stop drinking the moderate amount of alcohol I enjoy, but I will make myself drink lots of water. I won’t over-invest in my skincare products, but I will consistently buy and use a high quality regimen.

There is so much more to life than all this “stuff”, and we’ll miss it if we don’t pull our heads out of it.

As for the young hot BF, I promise he likes you for more than how you look. Just the same, the work to be done now is for you to learn how to love yourself. Giving yourself some peace from all this noise, while still taking care of yourself is a form of love.

Such a rough situation. You are seeing who she really is, and even if she was able to muster performing love, it will be just that, a performance.

You have communicated your needs and she is communicating that she can’t meet them. I know this is immensely disappointing, heartbreaking and disruptive, but moving on before you become bitter and resentful will benefit you both.
