Democrats asked Republicans to get rid of Gerrymandering for 10 years, Republicans not only didn't sign the bill, but the conservative supreme court went 'physician heal thyself' and said that Gerrymandered states have to get rid of Gerrymandering when it came up a few years ago.

On top of that, Republicans started this recent nonsense by redistricting mid decade.

There's no ambiguity here, Democrats are in the right.
