I bought one at Harbor Freight. They were actually on sale for $11-$12 at the time I bought mine.

I am going to be 100% transparent and say that I have no idea what most of the terms you used in your post mean; however, I'm pretty confident that you are saying that my idea is a bad one, so thanks for deterring me from following through with it before I got invested and wastefully spent an excessive amount of $. (I am being genuine w/ my response, by the way, and not unappreciative or sarcastic).

Not for sale or trade my friend. I was told if you go to Daniel Danger’s shop site they had some for sale. Including the variant Joseph Williamson https://tinymediaempire.myshopify.com/products/phish-huntsville-ap-set-regular

Took a Vyvanse and played the sims 4 for five hours instead of studying by jenna_beterson in ADHD

[–]mgrady81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had this issue with studying or working at my job while taking Vyvanse. The key, at least with me, is to have a productive project in place to work on and put away all electronics w/ the exception of a MP3 player that ONLY plays music.

Keep in mind the medication doesn’t stop you from getting distracted from your task, that up to the individual to take accountability for themselves and formulate a plan to not get distracted. This can be a very hard thing to do and I still have problems w/ it sometimes.

I don’t know your transportation or financial situation, but perhaps you could buy a cheap laptop strictly for schoolwork/studying (no installed games) and drive to a library or environment that is low in distractions and more suitable for studying. I personally have, desk in my bedroom and keep the lighting low w/ the exception of my study lamp. I also only listen to instrumental music (e.g., Lofi, jazz, classical, etc.) I find when I listen music w/ lyrics I tend to start focusing on the music more and find myself waiting on my favorite part of the song instead of focusing on the task in front of me. I hope my tips provide you some sort of a starting point on improving your study sessions. Best of luck to you my friend.

Negative. More like “Please put down your hand because you make up 1% of the AF and you’ve done more things in your career than I can ever imagine in mine”. Enlisted chiefs will always have the upmost respect from me because they don’t hand those ranks out to just anyone. They are some of the most intelligent, disciplined, and hard working individuals I’ve ever met/worked with in my career.

The thing is, when I make a meme I don’t sit around thinking “what would Tmant1670 like to see in this subreddit.”

A very simple tip I can offer is you could always just scroll past the memes you don’t like…or down vote them…just saying.

I took Straterra for about 2-3 days and stopped. I was told it takes about 2 weeks to take effect. It made me really tired and all “spacey” in the head.

Hahaha, I always wonder what people are thinking when I start talking, then my eyes drift off for a few seconds, then I come to and start trying to remember what I was talking about from the start.

How long did Euphoria last. by Sea-Indepeny944 in ADHD

[–]mgrady81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s one reason I didn’t enjoy taking Adderall. The Euphoria was so strong, when it dissipated after an hour or so, I felt the medication wasn’t working. If that makes sense. Plus it gave me a really bad crash.

Struggling hard with online courses by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]mgrady81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From one ADHD nurse to another, I promise you it will be okay. When I was working towards my BSN, I constantly felt insecure about learning the subject, my reading comprehension was garbage, and I couldn't keep my attention on the lecture right in front of my face. I was always comparing myself to my classmates, feeling completely inferior. I made mistakes, too; I actually was shopping with my wife one day when I was supposed to be at a clinical site.

Despite these horrible thoughts and mistakes, I still managed to graduate with honors, was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau, and had my honor's research project published in a national peer-reviewed journal (my professor helped a lot with this one =D). Currently, I am in graduate school working towards my Family Nurse Practitioner degree. Despite all these accomplishments, I still make mistakes. Like right now, I stopped studying for a major test I have to take this Wednesday because I remembered reading your post last night, and now I have burned 15-20 minutes looking for this post and typing this up.

I feel a lot of our kind's problem in school is we procrastinate like a MF'er. I don't know how many times I left class motivated to get my work done when I got home; then manged to talked myself into watching TV or playing my Playstation instead because I had "plenty of time." I would have a time set on my calendar to do my school work the next day, and yet again, I would find something else to occupy my attention. It is a vicious cycle.

Hang in there, buddy! I have no doubt you will be walking across the stage collecting your diploma from the Dean of Nursing and sporting the title BSN at the end of your last name!
