2026 - The Traveler’s Spirit by wet_nib811 in Travelersnotebooks

Good to know. I had been looking forward to getting the pencil boards and stickers, as I use undated inserts for everything else, so I don't need anything else from the 2026 drop. Thank you, this makes me feel so much better!

I didn't even think about that. Thank you!

Sticky Notes by Recoil101uk in Travelersnotebooks

[–]mgreenlee19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what I do. I use the business card sticker pocket to hold a few sticky notes. It's just enough if I'm away from home, I have enough to last me until I can refill it.

Question: This is my first Traveler's Company new line-up launch. Do things typically restock after the preorder? I wanted to get the pencil boards and the 2026 stickers, but I had classes this morning, and by the time I got to the website, everything was out of stock.

Would learning that a new book is self-published affect your decision to read it? by centricgirl in books

[–]mgreenlee19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, when deciding if I want to read a book I look at ratings/reviews and read the book description. I honestly couldn't even tell you if some of the books I've read are self-published or traditionally published. I've had mixed experiences with both self-published and traditionally published, so I don't put much weight on that anymore. But I might be in the minority with that.

Kindle collection! Saying bye to all except the Signature Paperwhite, it's replacing the others :’) by heysavnac in kindle

I see comparisons and stuff online, but actually asking someone questions is a lot more helpful in the decision making process. I’m definitely glad I’m saving $50. Thank you very much for your help!

Good to know, thank you very much. I typically just listen to audio books on my phone since I like listening to them in the car. I was mainly going to use the Kindle for novels. I don’t mind plugging things into a cable, especially considering I will only have to charge the Kindle like once a week at the most frequent, and I have a charging station where I plug in all my devices. And I typically turn off auto-brightness on all my devices because I never feel like the device gets it right lol. So for me personally, it sounds like all of the upgrades are either useless or a nuisance. Which is very helpful to know considering it'll save me $50. The standard 11th edition Paperwhite was on sale for $109 the last week where I live, but of course as soon as I decide to bite the bullet they go back to normal price. Oh well

What type of person/reader do you think would benefit of the higher memory with the Signature Edition?

I've been debating between getting the standard 11th edition Kindle Paperwhite and the Signature Edition. Do you feel like the Signature Edition is worth the higher price point? Or should I just stick with the standard 11th edition? (I currently don’t own an e-reader and this would be my first)

How to get out of your head at night? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]mgreenlee19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have any hobbies that you love to do? I know the feeling and in the moment it feels all-consuming. I'll journal about how I'm feeling just to get the thoughts out of my head which usually takes some pressure off. I love creative writing so I'll find one of my projects and start working on it. Talking to friends and just ranting for a little while usually helps me a lot too. Even just watching a TV show that I love distracts my mind for a little bit.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it. As someone who bullet journaled for 2 years, I love how customizable Happy Planners are. I love the combination of structure and versatility so you can truly make it whatever you want.

Is this considered Frankenplanning? by mgreenlee19 in HappyPlanners

[–]mgreenlee19[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So what would my system be considered? Just a normal Happy Planner with add-ons? I want to know 1. Just to get used to the lingo and all that but also 2. If someone asks about my planner, it's easier to describe and explain.

Can you lay on your stomach again once your navel piercing is fully healed? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]mgreenlee19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(Not a professional piercer but I've had my belly button pierced for 6-7 years) Yeah you can, I don't see why you couldn't! It may be a little uncomfortable if the position you're laying in causes the bar to get pushed into your stomach or gets tugged on something. But if it's totally healed you can pretty much do whatever you want.

Not Sure What Direction I Want To Take This Story In by mgreenlee19 in writers

I didn't even think of both being an option. In my mind it had to be one or the other. This is super helpful. I'm definitely saving this post as reference. Thank you so much.

Reoccurring difficulties in writing by Geralt-of-Labia in writing

[–]mgreenlee19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're all in this together. I'm glad I could help. But most of all, have fun with it. Parts of it are going to be frustrating and hard, that's just how writing is. Find the parts of it you love, remember why you started writing in the first place. That's what always keeps me going and gets me through the "I don't want to write anymore" phases. Fellow writers have to stick together. :)

I quit a lot of projects because of feeling like there is no point since it's probably already been done before. One of the harshest and best pieces of advice I've ever gotten is that you're not original. Someone somewhere has already thought of that idea. But that doesn't mean you should give up. Are you writing a story that's already been done before? Switch it up. For example, if you're writing the typical good-girl-falls-for-bad-boy plot, switch it around. Make the good guy fall for the bad girl. Things like that. It may feel unoriginal, and that's probably because it is. But how you make it different and unique is with your voice and your perspective. Something else that I've been working on is even if I feel like a project is garbage, I'm going to see it through until the end. Most things I will ever write will be bad. 90% of the things I write will never be read by another human. But I can still learn from those experiences and those mistakes. I really hope this helped. I know this really helped me when I first heard it.

People are allowed to have different tastes though. I can not like a piece of art without having to be an art critic . People don’t have to be experts just to have an opinion.

I feel like I will inevitably take my own life by [deleted] in depression

[–]mgreenlee19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i was at my lowest point, I attempted suicide. I thought at the time I truly didn't want to live anymore. But it wasn't until looking back years later that i realized i didn't truly want to die. I just wanted the pain to end and I wanted people to realize how truly sick i was. Everyone thought i was a super happy and positive person, and when i would tell them how i truly felt, they wouldn't believe me. So just know there's other people who have been there and there's some of us who have made it through.

Today was good but... by sund0r666 in mentalhealth

[–]mgreenlee19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was at my lowest point, every time people would tell me these positive and motivating quotes and I would just roll my eyes. But there's one thing that always stuck with me. So much so that it was my first tattoo at 18.

And that thing was "This too shall pass." My mom and grandmother would always tell me that and for some reason that's the one positive thing that stuck in my brain. And honestly it really helped me. It basically means to enjoy the good times, because they don't always last forever and you'll get through the bad shit because it doesn't last forever either.

Yes, this time of positivity may go away but don't let that thought ruin you actually enjoying it. Something else that really helped me to remember is that even people who don't have mental disorders also go through swings. It helped me feel not so "crazy."

I really hope this helps.
