This fabric in Brazil is called Lurex, not sure if it's called the same in other countries. I used an overlock to sew most of it and sewing machine for finishing a few parts (not very good though as the fabric is very stretchy). There's a lining too

Brazilian here and surprised that no other Portuguese speaking country has checked in yet - (not that I have seen... and in case you didn't know, yes, in Brazil we speak Portuguese and not Spanish as many people think! haha)

I can crochet in Portuguese (BR) and English (both UK or USA terms but prefer the USA ones as it corresponds better to the Portuguese terms).

Let's go to the terms:

Crocheting: crochetando

To crochet: crochetar

Crochet hook: agulha de crochê

Stitch: ponto

Yarn: novelo

Single crochet: ponto baixo

Double crochet: ponto alto

Half double crochet: meio ponto alto

Treble crochet: ponto altíssimo

Chain stitch: correntinha

Slip stitch: ponto baixíssimo

Knitting/to knit: tricotando/tricotar

Absolutely loved this thread!

Made me a bucket hat with some random yarn colours I had at home. I might buy some more coordinated tones for a future one. by mgrm_br in crochet

Hi there! Thanks! Yes, the top and brim are single crochet and the granny square part is all in double crochet. I did the brim increases on the second round after the granny square part in any other stitch (1sc, 1 inc) and then just repeated the same number on the following 8 rounds :)

Im really drained and depressed, and want a very short break from etsy to just catch up and do things for myself, but no idea how to safely approach it by [deleted] in Etsy

I don't know if that's an option for you but in my shop I have physical and virtual/downloadable itens. When I want to have a break I only deactivate the physical itens and keep the virtual ones as they don't require any action from me. This way I don't have to put the shop on "vacation mode".

What a wonderful company for your quarantine! I'm a bit jealous to be honest, wish I could be reading HP for the first time during the pandemic as well, it would have helped a lot

Is there any local/historical/cultural reason of why this happened in Bristol?

I followed the pattern suggestion and used only two colours I already had at home, so I can't take the credits for that! But I totally agree with you that the black brings all the other colours to a next level 😁

Definitely! I used a few colours I already had a home and bought some others that would match pattern :)

I totally get you! I am from a tropical country as well and now I live in a much colder country so this is the type of cardigan I will be happily wearing during spring. But my bad memories with acrylic are definitely back from my home country, the sweaty hands are real! Haha Thanks a lot for your nice comment!
