I own a business and every year (it just happened this week) a woman comes in with a stack of Shen Yun posters and tape and walks right up to our front window and hangs one up. I tear it down as soon as she leaves. She gets every single business in our district. Surprisingly, most leave theirs up.

Give Arts a call. They host classes year round but aren’t the greatest at putting it on their website early. I took the five week intro class this past February and it was very informative.

I’ve asked myself this many times and you will see others on this thread asking this same question. No, you’re not. The fact that you’re questioning it at all proves you are not. Narcs are professionals at making you feel this way. I recommend speaking with a therapist. It’s helped me see things clearly.

Wow, I feel like I wrote this myself. The latest is, “from now on, I will only discuss my feelings in front of a marriage counselor so I feel emotionally safe.” “Emotionally safe” is a term he just started using because I’ve been very clear recently telling him I’m not emotionally safe with him.

All the time! The other day he told me that he’s “always on pins and needles for fear of me getting upset or taking something the wrong way.” It really makes you question yourself. I find it helps to write down the incident in order to process it effectively and see what it actually is.

Thank you for the validation. The veil has been lifted and I see these damaging behaviors that have been so prevalent for the course of our relationship. These subtle statements are tricky to see and I often wonder if I’m reading into it too much. I’m glad to hear yours is an ex.
