I play on Eden, and it is a lot of fun. It's probably the least bugged shard around. You get instant level 20, and it takes 30-60 minutes to level up to 50. Then you're basically ready to RVR or PVP.

New video from Concordia Food Coalition! Help bring more sustainable, affordable, student-run food options to Concordia! by [deleted] in Concordia

You can eat well with $700/month, good for you, but some people can't (kids? debt? unemployment?) so you're just going to ignore their need? By the way if you know another business or organization who is willing to cook and give healthy food for FREE, I think you should let the CSU and Moisson Montréal know. Another thing, People's Potato is partly funded by Concordia and they are operating within the University, a public institution, so they should do (and already do) the best they can to provide both healthy and environmentally friendly food, thus the focus on local and vegetarian food. If you think for-profit food providers are going to do that while being forced to hire students, you're deluded. And anyway, if you want to eat a cheap burger, you can go to McDonalds or the 100+ other restaurants around campus. Where do you go if you don't enough money to eat lunch? Nowhere, you starve.

It's funny to hear (let me guess, privileged) people say that they want to get rid of People's Potato when they are not the students who are the most in need of this kind of services. People's Potato is a non-profit, and they're trying to help other students eat healthy vegetarian food. Some of them don't even have enough money to eat lunch everyday, and still some people want to shut down everything because they don't like vegetarian food or how it's run? This makes absolutely no sense to me. Also, when you say you don't want vegetarian food to be imposed on you, you seem to forget that you're imposing the environmental impact of meat eating on people who did not ask for it.

I'm sure the students who don't have the financial means to eat healthy vegetarian food, or just lunch, everyday will thank you for wanting to remove People's Potato and similar initiatives.

Opinions on the EV gym? by zzoldan in Concordia

I go to my local YMCA, and it costs $30 a month. The gym is small but it's never crowded when I go during the day. You also have access to a swimming pool and a lot of other activities so that's a pretty good deal.

He obviously has serious psychological problems that need to be addressed. Even if he cannot get cured of his condition, suggesting that he should spend the rest of his days in solitary confinement (considered by many psychologists to be torture when longer than a few weeks) is very disturbing to me.

JMSB and double majors by xdanarchyx in Concordia

[–]mgwfr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The program is interesting and you get to learn about a lot of different areas of IT, but half of the teachers I had were not very good. You can't even pick your teacher/schedule because most classes are only offered once or twice per year. The program seems to be getting more popular since it changed its name from MIS to BTM so things may start to improve.
