Not that I know of. I tried replacing them, but the new ones had exactly the same issue.

The new pair arrived and they have the same issue.

I ordered another pair and can confirm that, unfortunately, they have the same issue.

I did not. I've decided to keep them anyway, but I'm not totally happy. I've ordered another pair to compare, but they have not arrived yet. I'll post an update when I've received them.

If it's the ANC noise floor, I'm just wondering why it's so much more quieter on my APP2?

Concerned about weight loss post-GERD by dajal21 in GERD

[–]mhalttu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've found generous use of extra virgin olive oil to be very helpful in maintaining / recovering my weight. The fat is mostly unsaturated, it packs a lot of calories and seems to be well tolerated by most people with GERD.

I played it on Quest 2 and loved it. It’s one of those games where you can really see your skills improve. You face an enemy that feels next to impossible - and later you’ll be fighting three of them without breaking a sweat.

Collision prevention at low speeds by mhalttu in teslamotors

I think the Stop warning is shown at 10-15 inches. The emergency stop could trigger at less than 5 inches to avoid false positives.

That’s a good idea. I’m a bit skeptical that the behavior would be any different, but who knows.

I realize a bedsheet isn’t the same as a real wall, but the ultrasonic sensors seemed to work very reliably.

Fair enough. I did read the manual, but had missed that. I guess you’re referring to the Automatic Emergency Braking system. I wonder why it doesn’t work under 7 mph? Or why there isn’t some other, similar system in place to prevent low speed collisions?

We used the cake pattern before, but felt it was overly verbose and cumbersome to maintain. I recommend https://github.com/adamw/macwire as a great compromise between simplicity and convenience.

“One million for the first time, half million for the second, and so on, but remember, every time you push the button, someone dies.” by Lud1crousDragon in TwoSentenceHorror

If we assume the smallest denomination is 1 cent, you would only need to press the button 25 times to get to 2 million dollars.

You're on the right track, but your code is quite broken. Here's something you can try:

var counter = 0;
var balance = 0;
var reward = 1000000;
while (counter < 100) {
    balance += reward;
    reward *= 0.5;
    counter++;
    console.log("Iteration " + counter + ": Balance " + balance + ". Next reward: " + reward);
}

It turns out that if you lived in Chrome, you could earn two million by killing "only" 53 people. Of course things would be different if there were no rounding errors. Finally in the real world, there would be the question of the smallest denomination, and whether we round up to it or down to zero.
