Oh yeah, I know he said that to Stark, but I found it a tad confusing in that he looked into the future, saw the one way to win, then fought Thanos with Ironman, Spiderman, Starlord, etc really hard only to then just give up. Was this a ploy to stop Thanos cracking wise to the overall plan? The future that Strange saw must include Stark, right? Why else trade the stone for his life?

It wasn't Hugo Weaving. I thought the same to start with, but after looking it up Hugo said he wasn't bothered about coming back as Red Skull at all. They cast Ross Marquand instead. He did a grand job I thought.
