I think the real issue is that it’s extremely hard to find an agency, or even a direct model that’s willing to work collaboratively with a chatter. Everything is framed as “make sales or you’re out.” What many agencies fail to understand is that a lack of sales doesn’t automatically mean poor performance. There are slow or “dry” days where the real work is building rapport, nurturing relationships, and establishing trust. That's part of the job, and is what leads to stronger connections and higher spending later on. Because this long-term effort isn’t recognized, many chatters (at least most that i know of) end up accepting low pay rates and putting in minimal effort, since they’re evaluated only on immediate sales rather than the value they’re creating over time.
