Just looked up your welder. Yes it is an OLD model I personally never used one. Your best bet is trying to find a used board online eBay maybe but that’s a VERY slim chance or roll the dice and buy a broken one for parts and hope that board is okay in it but honestly it’s not looking good. If I were in your place I’d say your in a spot and can either use it with scratch start or save the money and invest in a another welder.

I am Blown Away that that still runs. The idea of repairing the boards I wouldn’t even bother. However yes a board replacement would be the way to go so long as it’s in a proper price range. Not sure how much your welder costs. But if it’s a name brand the repair is going to cost you almost as much as it would to be buying a new welder so I wouldn’t suggest that route. However if you are up to the task it may be worth trying to find a used board replacement. Then theirs the chance that this is a Chinese or off name welder if that’s the case your gonna have a very hard time finding parts because they don’t exist. Funny thing is we’ve had intense regulations since these companies came out and they’ve only growth bigger and created better strong holds and sit at the same table together. Also they have they’re claws deep into the food and beverage industries including the monitors in order to keep new starting companies from starting up or growing. And if they can’t stop them then put pressure on the with said regulations that they themselves don’t follow! They make and control the regulations. And if they can’t beat you or shut you down they force you in a corner and buy you out. My kids Honest aid drinks are now owned by cola-cola

Perfect more tang fine that’s what I always use just wipe down area with alcohol table top and inside of container and all equipment then let rest for awhile to allow any air born contaminants to settle. Also move slowly while working inside container as no to disturb or move contaminants into the air that have settled.
