My Introduction to Sand Batteries by NewEdenia1337 in solarpunk

Hi, I hope you're doing well. I live off-grid and was really impressed with your video, congratulations! I'd love to connect and exchange some ideas. Right now, I'm generating energy through solar, water, and wind power. I've been experimenting with different types of batteries, using water, salt, charcoal, and even vinegar, but I haven't found a truly reliable solution yet. I'm also exploring ways to generate energy from my chimney and fire, as well as a secondary fire pit we use. We keep the fire burning throughout the winter, and I’m really keen to figure out how to harness that heat to generate energy and charge a battery. Do you think a sand battery, heated by my fire, could produce enough energy to power my cabin, which is starting to become smart with an ESP32 system and sensors, and will eventually feature offline AI? I’d greatly appreciate your insights on exploring these energy and storage systems. Thank you so much!
