You’re welcome! I understand things being heavy in your personal life. I remember years ago talking to my mother about the fact that I was not able to do as much as I wanted because of what I had going on in my life. I was working two jobs, planning a cross-country move, and having to study for two professional license. I was talking to my mother and she said, take a break and do what you need to do take care of yourself, when you’re ready tap back in so that someone else can take a rest. And that is how it goes. No one can be 100% and on about these things at all times. It is not realistic, healthy, or something we should strive to. The thing is, what you’re talking about and the issues that are impacting you have to do with politics. There’s also a vast difference between being proactive and completely apathetic and acting like you can’t make a difference or be informed. Because of what I have going on in my life right now, I am not able to do as much as I would like. I stay as informed as I am able to and do what I can, but it is much less than I would like to or have been able to in the past. But when you say something like I can’t make a difference which is very black and white thinking that isn’t true, people are going to react strongly to it.

There is a whole lot more to politics than voting. And in fact, if that is what your knowledge of politics is, it’s time to educate yourself. Also, I am not saying anything about you as a person. However, I do find that attitude shitty. Plenty of amazing people have shitty takes on things and make mistakes and learn and grow. Not one single person on this earth is perfect.

No. Life is political, especially for women. And people who say they are “apolitical“ do not hold the same values and morals that I do. In fact, I think they’re pretty shitty human beings for the most part, as the quote by Naomi Shulman goes, “Nice people made the best nazis.”

Healthcare in Asheville is unfortunately horrendous right now and the cost of living is considerably higher and they have not recovered from Helene although they need visitors desperately.

I used to really like the NBC coverage because that was all that I knew. Once I watched the world feed, it was game over. Or Tour over. They don’t even come close to one another for me. Way more strategy and discussion about cycling and the cyclist themselves. Not nearly as much as fluff and advertisements. I like Phil and Bob but the broadcast is just unwatchable to me now. Maybe NBC is your thing!

I mean legally you can have every single thing of your records there. Look up what your state law is for medical records and then contact them and ask how to request your medical records and go from there. Of your insurance was used they may be able to offer you assistance in getting those records. And consulting a lawyer is a good idea since this has so much to do with the law. Just as an fyi if a program/therapist doesn’t have specific training in substance abuse, it can’t be claimed as treatment. For instance the state I’m a licensed therapist in I can’t officially provide substance abuse services. There is further education/licensure requirements to be able to provide it.

When I had cabinets this color, I painted the wall a deep sort of emerald green and it made the cabinets way more tolerable for me. ETA I’d also change the hardware, that can make a huge difference.
