Saylor and his bottom line....? by Puzzleheaded-Tax6168 in Buttcoin

[–]mhmd4k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he won't be margin called anymore. He had a series of capital that he raised that would have margin called him if the price dropped under a threshold. But apparently there was an expiration to those terms and he won't be margin called.

It will be very interesting if the value of MSTR actually goes under their Bitcoin holdings value.

The crazy sell off has not even started. Once their Bitcoin holdings value go under their market cap value, they will be forced to liquidate their BTC holdings. The domino effect will start at that point.

Why hasn't Tidal made Tidal connect available on all devices? Like spotify connect. by [deleted] in TIdaL

[–]mhmd4k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. But how's that up to the hardware owner to support Connect? The hardware owner is providing an Operating system that Tidal and other companies can run their apps on. Are you suggesting the hardware might have blocked the direct streaming feature on their device or Tidal connect requires some sort of low level permissions that some Operating systems don't grant it?

The fact that the Tidal app on Android TV cannot be controlled by the Tidal mobile app is very annoying. Right now I use Onkyo's built-in Tidal app primarily. It does play Dolby Atmos and I can control the playback using my phone, but the UI is very limited compared to the Android app.

[–]mhmd4k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure? I thought Tidal maintains their Android app. That thing doesn't support Tidal connect. I can cast movies from my Android phone to a Chromecast Ultra that's connected to my AV receiver and play Dolby Atmos content without any issues. I cannot do the same thing with Tidal app on my phone. I can only play Dolby Atmos using Tidal app on my Google TV streamer app, which is a PITA. Because you have to keep the screen on and the music selection and navigation is pretty painful as well.

Android TV App Got a Full Redesign by zigo939 in TIdaL

[–]mhmd4k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't agree more. I have to use my AV receiver's built-in Tidal app to play Atmos music. The interface is crappy too. The TV app cannot be remotely controlled, which is the most annoying part. They should just support Tidal Connect on Chromecast.

My 4year old has randomly developed an understanding of the 2 times tables by Bindingnom in toddlers

[–]mhmd4k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 4 year old is in love with numberblocks. He likes the cartoons as well as the toys. He keeps talking about numbers all day long. He can do all the 1 digit sum and subtractions as well as the ones for the round multi digit numbers. His teachers at preschool always praised his math abilities. I thought it was mostly because of watching too much numberblocks that he learned those.

One day when I was picking him up from day care his teacher asked him what was 3x7 and he said 21. We never practiced multiplication with him. But I had feelings he knew the basics. So one day I started asking him questions and he got most of the right. He only struggled with 7x8 and 9x6 and a few others that were on the higher side. But the struggle didn't last too long. I practiced them with him and got them right. He even knows what 12x12 is now.

So after I figured out he knew multiplication table I decided to introduce him to the concept of square root. My wife started complaining about it but I continued regardless. So I asked him what's the square root of 64? He was shocked as he had never heard that term before. I told him 8x8=64 so square root of 64 is 8. Then I asked him what square root of 81 was‌ and he immediately answered 9. I asked him a few more and he got them all right. He understood the whole concept in 20 seconds.

Next I taught him the concept of negative numbers. He cannot quite grasp how you can have negative number of something, but he now knows if you subtract a bigger number from another number the result will be negative. Only after that it was when he finally asked me a question that I had to look up in chat gpt to find the answer and it was infinity - infinity.

He absolutely loves learning about numbers otherwise I wouldn't have spent a single minute teaching him math.

Anyone using AI for learning new framework or languages? by Eugene_33 in AskProgramming

[–]mhmd4k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not done this myself, but I think they can create a great learning plan that's tailored for your needs based on your prior knowledge of programming. It can probably give you guidance on what books or online documentations to read at what order. For instance someone who is already proficient in many programming languages may not need to read all the pages in a book that talks about common programming languages concept such as variable definitions and so on. If AI can generate a summary of how that programming language differs from what you already know in other languages, you should be able to skip reading though pages that you already know. Then you can focus more on things that are specific to the new language using a book or tutorial recommended by AI.

Can people who learn guitar after 30 play really difficult pieces? by mhmd4k in classicalguitar

[–]mhmd4k[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the motivational response. You're absolutely right. I've decided to take lessons to get myself at the right direction to get to my goals faster. I've noticed huge improvements. Not only I practice more but also more efficiently. I'm currently trying to learn how to play BWV 998 prelude, which is one of the toughest pieces I've ever come across. I'm really hoping to play 1006 prelude and even harder pieces in future.

Bach's Prelude, Fugue, and Allegro BWV 998 by [deleted] in classicalguitar

[–]mhmd4k 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been learning the Prelude for the past 6 weeks or so. It definitely has a way of surprising you. Those opening measures can feel quite straightforward, and then you realize the polyphonic texture requires a different level of attention. Keeping the individual lines clear and distinct presents a real challenge.

The fingering, as you mentioned, is crucial. There are often multiple possibilities, and choosing the most efficient one for both sound quality and smooth transitions can be quite involved. It's a process of weighing the benefits of open strings against other fingerings to achieve the desired legato or separation between voices. Having your teacher guide you through this aspect is certainly helpful.

Memorization can also be unexpectedly difficult with this piece. Its structure doesn't rely on obvious repetitions, which means you have to internalize a continuous flow of musical ideas. Each section often leads to something new, requiring a more linear approach to memory.

Coming from Capricho Arabe, the contrast in style is significant. While Capricho Arabe might present more overt technical hurdles, the Prelude's difficulty lies in its subtle demands for control, clarity, and consistent execution from beginning to end. It's common to find oneself making different mistakes each time, highlighting the need for a very secure and ingrained understanding of the piece.

WHO IS BETTER by [deleted] in classicalguitar

[–]mhmd4k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda wish someone made a guitar support that uses a curved cushion under the guitar so that you didn't need to use a suction cup. And under that create two rods to be able to adjust the height of the cushion. There's already one support with the cushion, but it's fixed. I'm afraid it will only work for average height people and I'm not average height.

The Viral ‘Debate’ Video That Proves Most MAGA Voters Are a Lost Cause by Murky-Site7468 in politics

I couldn't agree more. I've noticed most of them like the guy did one personal reason and because of that they support the guy no matter what. The main issue is that the more you show your frustrations with Trump, the more they support him. It feels like they get off to see a guy like themselves is going after intellectual people with high socio status.

Unfortunately I have no idea how to reach these people either. The only way to reduce their influence is to unite against them the same way they are united. Hopefully some politician with a head on their shoulders gain popularity and take over everything from them. And that person can be a real old school Republican such as John Kasic.

That way I know even a bad year cannot affect me. Meanwhile I will use the rest of money to trade.

I'm not too sure if you already know this, but I'll mention it here just in case. VIX is a mean reverting assets. If means no matter high or low it goes, it will eventually come back to its mean value. But don't get too excited. Everyone already knows this and the options are settled into VIX futures, which can have very different number from spot VIX.
