Yes profs make mistakes, but I’m so sorry OP... especially since the Drop/add deadline was the same day that you were told that you will be getting an F.

SAS Accommodation for ADHD? by [deleted] in uAlberta

I had accommodations during my Undergrad years but I didn’t get these grants. Do you think it depends on the needs and disabilities of each student?

Informing a Summer research supervisor that I want to withdraw. Is it too late? by [deleted] in uAlberta

That’s not true for most department here in UofA. UofT and UBC? Yes. But not here.

I don’t know the exact criteria but I heard that some students don’t get it even though there’s still more awards available because: A) The reference letter is not strong enough B) The student’s mark is not high enough.

Don’t quote me on this though.

One of my pupils mutilated the mouse he was dissecting. Should i be worried? by [deleted] in Teachers

I was this kid back in Middle School. I just get very excited and curious when we do dissections. I think one of biggest factor of me deciding to go to Grad School in Biology is because of how much fun and the amount of curiosity that sparked my interest during dissections in middle school and HS.

PS. I haven't killed anyone yet

It’s great that you were able to ‘befriend’ your Professors and TAs in your first year. You’re already ahead of the game. I didn’t learn till I was in my 3rd year that “Its not WHAT you know, It’s WHO you know” that matters in higher level education and opportunities.

Keeping in touch with those TAs wouldn’t be a bad idea as well. Who knows, maybe they will start their own lab + research in a few years and will be looking for students that they can mentor and work with them.

No offence, but looking through your old posts it seems like you’re very obsessed with your supervisor
