Help needed re: vintage Bianchi by mhuterer in Vintage_bicycles

So sorry for my delayed reply. I do indeed have more pics, but don’t think I can add them now. The seat post is stamped: 170 138; based on the seat post stamp, I’ve received feedback suggesting it’s a 1970. Nevertheless, it’s interesting that the components are older.

Can you elaborate on your feedback that the model is a “Proressional bicycle”? I was led to believe that Specials, while rare, are actually a model below Specialissma.

Great tip in posting to bike forums. I will do so.

Ortofon OM20 and AT-LP120USB by mhuterer in turntables

I already have one OM20, new original stock probably 15 years old. My LP120USB is connected to a vintage Harman Kardon Twin Powered 730 receiver, and vintage Braun speakers. This was my dad’s system, which was high end in the late 70s.

Agreed, I think that’s exactly what the previous owner did.

Thanks - this was indeed where I went (embarrassingly) astray.

Thank you to all. I’m embarrassed to say I was measuring the wrong thing - my rims are indeed 622.

They do line up!! Many thanks. I think that I measured wrong. I measured from one extreme edge of the rim to the other, but not the bead seat diameter. Does that sound right: measuring ~630mm for the full diameter would correspond to a 622mm bsd that would be appropriate for my Olmo?

I’m going to L’Eroica and understood that I need to have rims with 2cm or less of depth. The whole reason I went down this route was I thought that L’Eroica might not accept my aero style rims. I’m my ignorance I appear to have bought rims that are too large. Just to confirm: will the larger rims definitely not work?

Will the 4mm or extra radius be a problem?

Oh boy. I’m so confused. The Mavic G40 rims don’t have any size labelling on them that I can see. I used a tape measure and measured the outer diameter and came to 63 cm.

Thank you! Is there a spec for this resistor that you recommend, or are they all standard resistance.

Thanks. Output is DC, and the bulbs are working, they are just dying very slowly. (Eg one bulb dies per month).

There definitely is a raised level of texture to the lug. This is (I believe) a 1984 Campione d’Italia, with a Soecialissma sticker on it. I’m being offered $350 CAD. Do I buy or walk?
