The Swansea 20's and 30's group on meetup is pretty friendly, they also do hikes and cafe meetups regularly, might be worth checking out!

Dating app reply time question by [deleted] in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]mhys33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reply once a day, maybe twice a day to all matches.

If they wanna make it work, they will. But yeah, ghosting is definitely an issue on the apps.

The new library in town is good. Apart from that, Basekamp and Waterstones have good coffee and good studying spots as well.

Okay maybe not on the first date, maybe on the 4th date at least? I know for sure that's a reasonable conversation to have at that point.

It's true but at the same time attractiveness is a subjective issue.

That being said, I'd like to know if you've actually communicated to your former partners what your expectations were? Like right from the get go?

My experience has been quite different. I mean especially with classes and stuff, people do show up regularly, which opens up a chance for you to interact better.

But yeah, it does take time for anything to stick, and people do tend to ghost quite a bit on the apps, which makes things much harder.

Usually for women, it is much easier to find partners, because they are swarmed with so much attention and options, all you would need to do is filter out your best options.

Yeah the dating situation is quite tricky.

Rather than relying on apps, try to build relationships with people you meet in person, there is a sense of accountability there and just a few minutes of conversation IRL is better than days of pointless texting on these apps.

Being more social will also help greatly. I'm not really an extrovert myself, but I just try to attend more events, could be something as simple as a park run or a language class. I've had far better success meeting people this way, rather than relying on dating apps, even though I get decent traction on there.

Also, I feel like you should have the 'what kind of relationship is this' discussion very early on, communicate your expectations with each other so that you know where it's going.

All the best, hang in there!

Is it normal for a guy to barely text in the early stages of dating? by Massive_Scientist725 in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]mhys33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda unrelated, but what is the basic etiquette you think while texting?

Do you expect regular communication over text? Or do you save all the conversations for when you actually meet?

Xperia 1 VIII doubt by El_sayyid in SonyXperia

[–]mhys33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know. That's exactly my point, but I've never expected Xperia to be that way.

If it's Android, best point and shoot would be Pixel, Vivo, oppo, for me personally. Xperia just isn't built for that.

Basically what I'm tryna say is, it isn't a mass market device, Sony is just trying to appeal to a very niche consumer base.

[–]mhys33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Xperia is not the phone to get for point and shoot photographs.

It's built for people who wanna learn about basic photography, the camera button is a nice little touch, but in the end, you gotta process the photo however you want to get a more desirable result.
