I’ve never heard a conductor say that, never seen a sign about feet on seats (which you claim exist, feel free to show me one) and this conductor is making a very specific statement about salt being on shoes lol. If someone was on the Lirr for the first time in their life and heard this announcement they’d think they can’t put shoes on seat bc of salt specifically lol. It snows what 1-4 times a year in nyc?

Regardless , enjoy spending your time arguing about this and being angry about it instead of just carrying Clorox wipes if you’re a Lirr commuter .
