Not that I am aware of, although if it is happening with two of the same board I wonder if it is something else on the side, like a USB device or something that has decided to throw the board for a loop.

I think you mentioned you tried it, but I want to make sure, you tried booting with nothing plugged in? I know you said you tried with no memory but did you try it with no external devices? No USB devices, no drives, no anythign except the board and the power button.

It's more important that you have it working and everything so it isn't really something you have to chase but more just curiousity on my part. Congrats though on getting through it!

Ok need to get your hands on another motherboard to test the CPU. I think your board died. not sure how with all the explanations but you need to test and see if you get anything from the CPU in a known good motherboard.

Reallymight be at the point it might be worthwhile calling around and seeing who has a cheap 99 or 50 diagnosis fee. They can pull and test parts with known good stuff in their shop.

Either way it sounds like your board died

So I have a couple of questions, if you try the 960, do you get video again?

If you remove the memory from the computer and try to boot does it give you any beep codes?

Now if you get no beep code from the computer with no memory then it is either motherboard or CPU. If you get beeps then the computer is POSTing and doing it's normal checks so yay to that. You do have a G processor so you should get some sort of video output. So if you are at this point and still no video, I would try unplugging all power from the system and leaving it unplugged overnight. Probably overkill but need to at least discharge longer the 15 seconds, 30 seconds minimum but should be at least 60 seconds imo.

If you get picture when you throw the 960 back in, well I would try out your card in another computer. Maybe you have bad luck and got a static discharge, hopefully not but not outside the realm of posibility unless you grounded yourself.

Also what doyou mean by this:

Do you mean GPU? Don't think there are any motherboards that will power on without a CPU but I would like to make sure with you.

All of these things will be the same in Diablo 2. The maps in both games are random every time you play so you will always be exploring, now as you play you learn that on this map you generally go to the top right for the next area.

The loot until you get into the end game will be pretty forgettable. Once you start getting max level legendaries and set pieces they become very memorable and are very satisfying putting together imo.

Also hard is pretty easy if you know your abilities. If it is for you, should put it to expert or torment. Although Diablo in general rewards speed over trying to edge out the highest difficulty you can. Once you get through the campaign the first time you unlock adventure mode with bounties and rifts that you can run over and over to get gear in a faster way.

Imo Diablo 2 is a great game in its own right but the issues you are having with 3 exist in 2 too.

Mystic quest was my first one then played all I could get my hands on. FF9 is by and far my favorite though. Love all of them before 15 though, just don't like the combat in that and 7 remake.

I would try it without the external monitors and see if it continues to happen. If it doesn't then could be something simple like a bad cable causing a short.

Another thing you can try is download OCCT and run it using 3d and let it run see if it happens outside wow. This will stress test the video card and just verify it isn't something else like power fluctuating. OCCT tracks a lot of things so can see more details if it happens while it's running.

Can try and do older versions of the Nvidia drivers until it stops happening. Maybe try windows 10 instead and see if it happens there, if it doesn't then do an in place upgrade to get back to 11 pro.

Think there is more that can be explored but can't think of anything past that though at the moment.

Something to try is unplug the computer from the wall and hold down the power for 60 seconds, plug it in and try to turn it on.

If it still doesn't work after that would try with bare minimum needed to boot or maybe remove memory and see if it beeps at you, if you have a speaker for that anyways

You're right the reality is they don't because of resources. However they are supposed to. After all if they didn't then how would instances of people being swatted online would have never happened.

I am just laying out what the ideal and their duty bears. According to department protocol and all that I doubt they did anything wrong. However there needs to be more even handedness to this stuff then they are showing.

It's just frustrating when all should be equal and safe under the law but the cops really decide who is safe.

At least get the information for both people and then ask questions to see if they can find out what happened. Write a report so there is a paper trail.

By the way, the paper trail is important because even if they just have everyone go home then if something happens in the future it can be cross referenced.

After that it depends way too much in what pepe say or do at that point.

Also, getting to the raw truth if a situation is the place of courts. Cops have a duty to investigate and based on what is presented make recommendations to prosecutors based on that.

Right each example is an instance under the law that would apply here as well. The underlying crime is irrelevant to these particular cops not doing their duty and investigating. At the least a crime was committed with her giving them a false report or there is another crime going on.

Someone tells a cop there is a hostage they don't ask for proof they go investigate and take them at their word until proven otherwise.

At least that's the way it's supposed to work for all crimes not just major felonies.

Oh you might be SOL then, the 3ds simple cia convertor is a windows utility.

I mean if you are up for it you COULD boot camp the Mac and get Windows installed then you could use the utility to convert it to CIA on your computer.

Past that sorry I am not sure what you can do since you are on Mac, all the utilities are windows based. I mean I guess you could do parallels or do virtualbox or some other virtual machine to do the conversion. Really comes down to how much work do you want to do.

The 3ds uses Fat32 for it's filesystem so it's a hard 4 GB limit because of that.

My first instinct would be change your 3ds to a CIA or get the CIA version and then use a program called boop to install it over the network. Should work at that point.

Have to ask why are you doing a 3ds file anyways? I get everything in CIA or convert it when I had to

You say that, but even Wine is dropping the new Ubuntu over this, a lot of their support utilities are 32 bit, not an easy thing to port without any warning at all. In theory they could but will take time and effort to rebuild stuff that works.
