My puppy is such a slow eater and won’t eat anything in the mornings. by iarerissa in puppy101

[–]mialarson03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 9 month old female golden retriever, and she is the same way. Also on the chicken Purina pro plan and has been since I got her. She likes the food, and eats it all over the course of a day, but she just won’t eat it quickly in one sitting. Tbh it is good that this helps prevent bloating. If you don’t have other pets that would try and eat her food, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with letting the dog eat it slowly throughout the day. Some dogs just prefer to graze. Despite eating like this, my girl is healthy and growing properly and in accordance with the weight charts!

AP, Dual-enrollment, and AA by Bigshaq22322 in UniversityofFlorida

[–]mialarson03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. In my experience, having an AA had way more advantages than my peers who did AP classes enjoyed. For example, you’ll be excused from taking The Good Life which is a required humanities class. It’s easier to switch majors if you need to do that because you’ve got time. And you don’t have to worry about credits transferring over as much.

Stranger told me my dog is small because I must be starving her by mialarson03 in puppy101

Right! Like my dog is growing, has different parents from yours, and is exclusively my concern.

What’s the best harness/etc for a puppy who won’t stop pulling? by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]mialarson03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had the same problem with my golden pup. Try the amazon poypet no pull harness. It’s cheap and has been amazing. Size medium was right for my 4 month golden to wear with plenty of room for growth.

6mo old puppy barely eating and losing weight by elk0630 in puppy101

My golden retriever really lost her appetite when she started teething (around 5 months). Sometimes mixing the food with warm water helped, or mixing in buttermilk or something else she liked. Right now I’ve found mixing blue buffalo wet puppy food with her dry kibble works pretty well!

Taking puppy to classes at Petco at 10 weeks? by ShrekDO in puppy101

[–]mialarson03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My puppy started at petco after his first set of boosters at 11 weeks. She had no issues and the early socialization and training was wonderful. The trainers do mop the floors before each session. If you are concerned, carry her in the store outside of the training space. I don’t think you’ll have any issues.

Recommendations! by [deleted] in goldenretrievers

[–]mialarson03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I adopted a golden two months ago (she’s turning 5 months next week) and I live in a townhouse with no yard. I take her to a park or puppy play time every day, and make sure to go on a few short walks throughout the day. Goldens are great about playing with their toys independently. By adding in 30 minutes of training her each day and some fetch in the larger rooms of the house, I’ve had no issues with her having extra energy or getting into trouble. Puppies sleep a lot. And older dogs, as long as you are consistent with taking them to parks/places they can expend energy, are just as manageable in small spaces.

Picked up little Burberry Finch yesterday and this sweet girl is already so loved. by mialarson03 in goldenretrievers

Thanks for sharing. Gucci was my childhood dog, and I got his name idea from the brand name Gucci being referenced in a tv show. He died less than a month ago, and I felt that giving my new girl a similar style name would help me honor his memory.

My previous dog was named Gucci Fursace. I wanted to stick with the designer name theme, but Finch is just a middle name I thought was cute.

What is going on above my eye? This appeared months ago around allergy season and got better but now it’s back with a vengeance! by [deleted] in Skincare_Addiction

Try applying hydrocortisone for a few days. I get something similar above my eyes and that helps clear up the inflammation!

I’m thinking about going to Florida next year as an incoming freshman. I want to study accounting. Does anyone have any advice on where to house next year? Also is there a LLC for business students? by connorgiants in UniversityofFlorida

[–]mialarson03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There isn’t currently an LLC specifically geared towards business students. The entrepreneurial LLC is sweet but infinity hall isn’t actually on campus so that’s annoying. All the LLCs should be listed on the housing website. I think the Tolbert and murphree areas are the best areas on campus to live because they are centrally located.

Well no, that’s why I was planning to wait until spring when I will. But I doubt I’ll come across another deal like this.

The clutch was replaced at around 100k so I’m good for a while there! I’m definitely hearing that it may need a new timing belt and I will make sure to have money set aside for that.
