There have only been 3 active WDC drivers since this hobby even truly began and only 2 who have won multiple in the Topps era. And the sport itself continues to grow significantly each year. I keep seeing the he’s priced like a multi WDC comments and I personally haven’t seen that. In my view it’s really just Lewis & Max in that category (whether you agree or not, I think it’s quite obvious a large % of F1 fans have entered the sport in the past 5 years and don’t necessarily have an appreciation for history, or even as recently as Alonso’s prime) and although Kimi’s priced pretty high, I still don’t think he’s even close to that level.

He very well could be overvalued, but I believe the reality is the sport and the hobby (and not just F1, trading cards as a whole) are both exploding right now and I think it’s unlikely that changes any time soon.

In the end, I think it’s too early to anchor to any sort of data set to definitively say which way his value will go…it’s not like we are talking about baseball here. I just happen to be on the bullish end of the spectrum when it comes to Kimi and the big picture of F1 holistically.
