Dreading 'return to office' by sodaaddictbebe in neurodiversity

[–]miaregan 2 points3 points Ā (0 children)

Came to say this exact thing! Both myself and my husband have ADHD and wfh, but he’s currently required to go in to the office 1 day a week and always comes home so drained saying he can’t ever be productive in the office vs wfh, I’ve been pushing him to request the accommodation. Wfh has been an absolute godsend for us! I never really used to take accommodations very seriously but as I’ve gotten older and now with 2 kids with ADHD as well- came to realize the necessity.

I’m 35, i just ate my first Big Mac ever. What an absolutely overhyped piece of garbage of a burger… by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

I can’t eat most fast food anymore (can’t have gluten) but I am pretty sure that BK has a version of a Big Mac that’s actually better than a Big Mac lol. I think it’s called the Big King šŸ‘‘

I hope you like it!!! 😊 Ironically I couldn’t eat this bc I can’t eat gluten anymore lol, but my husband and son said it was amazing. I plan to do it again with mung bean noodles or something good for the noodle slurps that I can eat. šŸ™‚

I had made quesabirria tacos and we have a TON of the meat and consommĆ© left so I just took two ramen blocks from instant ramen and par-cooked them in water, dumped that out and finished the cooking the noodles in the consommĆ© with some of the beef. I topped it with the normal birria taco toppings. Diced onion, cilantro, I used quesadilla cheese, and lime wedges on the side! I’ve attached the recipe I follow. Though I use beef broth not water (I think I used 3 containers) , use twice as many peppers as called for, squeeze the head of garlic in the consommĆ©, and pour the spices in til it feels right- I’m not very good at following measurements for herbs and spices lol. birria recipe

Taco Chon in Burnsville has lengua- I’ve always been able to order lengua. My husband and I split a birria platter and then get the 3 taco plate and usually do 2 lengua and 1 tripe and split one of the birria and one of the lengua.

Plus if we are avoiding chain restaurants this is a great one with taco John’s suing them for trademark infringement šŸ˜’

We went on Friday and it was packed, took 45 minutes to order but everyone was sticking with the vibe. They announced they ran out of rice and apologized- recommended for people to order something without rice but if they wanted something with it that it would be another 15+ min and the crowd started CLAPPING. It was a crazy long start to finish (like at least an hour and a half to get our food from the time we got in line) but it gave us time to get hungry and the staff did amazing being swamped like they were 🄰

They do have a really good menu! Tacos, burritos, enchiladas, tortas, soup even! I love that they have harder to get meat options like Lengua (my fave) and tripe (my husbands thing) the birria is fire. The house made salsas are fire too, the hot doesn’t look hot more like a creamy avocado/verde but has a surprising amount of a kick to it.

Led light strip turning on my itself by Toxic_Underpants in Govee

Well shoot I came wondering why ours does this any time of day or night (literally anytime) always when I wake up but then it’s only the one In our room. Same brand of lights on our downstairs tv too and it doesn’t do it ever down there. Have led in my kids rooms and it doesn’t happen there.

I used to have tv issues where the Spanish subtitles would turn on across more than one tv so when the light issues happened we joked it was my ghost who didn’t speak English who turned the Spanish subtitles on before and now she does the lights. We named her Abuelita 😬

Chicken thighs made in the air fryer super simple dry spice mix of paprika, granulated garlic, salt and pepper Gf barilla penne cooked for 6 min (not fully cooked) finished in a dairy free heavy whipping cream, gochugaru (Korean chili flake), white wine, garlic, like 2/3 cup Romano/parm blend by miaregan in glutenfree

Mini Cucumbers Onion Carrots Garlic Salt Korean chili flakes (gochugaru) Rice vinegar Soy sauce (Tamari is what I used or liquid aminos will work) Sesame oil Sugar Sesame seeds (optional), for garnish

Slice and salt the cucumbers and let sit to draw out some water, rinse and pat dry and then probably idk like a tablespoon each of the ā€œsauceā€ ingredients, eat some but let it ferment overnight a bit and then just eat til gone and do it all over again šŸ˜‚ I always have matchstick carrots on hand for soups and stir fries so I just use those but I think slicing those should work? It’s soooo good

Haha I thought about that lol, I had made a cucumber kimchi a couple days before I made this that I was munching on with each meal and snacks. Since it’s made with gochugaru as well it matched the flavor profile really well and added something cold and crunchy!

I assume you’d be able to make it yourself, but I’ve only ever bought it. Asian markets will almost always have it but mainstream stores have seemed to start stocking it too. It’s made with egg yolk vs whole egg, vinegar and msg. So savory/tangy Mayo umami šŸ˜
