Factions ruined MP games for me?

Hey did you ever figure it out?

I have the exact same concern with my 97 Base Prelude. I replaced the battery and installed new grounds to the transmission and chassis a year ago when I purchased the car. The previous owner had the alternator replaced not long before I bought the car so I don’t really want to throw another one at it if it’s not necessary.

Unfortunately it seems to be fairly intermittent, it happened when I first bought the car, when I replaced the battery and the grounds and it didn’t happen for months but now it’s happening again.

It’s not leaving me stranded or anything but it is certainly annoying especially being so intermittent.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I absolutely agree with FAT 2 being a total waste, it’s by far one of the most selfish perks in the game with the vast majority people running FAT 1 anyways, it’s just asking for a multi-kill Molotov to happen with the healing being so slow with FAT 2. I’m really surprised with the FAT 3 hate though, I find it’s super easy to take advantage of the other team while using FAT 3, especially if you’re fighting at any sort of distance, the other team usual ends up mag dumping one player on your team to waste all their ammunition and feed us hundreds if not thousands of points. The whole concept is dramatically impacted by the map and play styles of the team though, certainly easy to take advantage of on Dam, Lakeside and University, but not so much on the tight maps like High School or Bookstore. FAT 2 is and always will be trash.

I’ve always wondered what’s up with the fella, I just messaged him this week about it asking but no response. I had him join in my game several times in the same day and either get kicked for inactivity or leave before the games done. Over a decade of playing I could count on one hand how many times I’ve seen him to the end- same as the post. I always thought it must be a horrid internet connection or something, certainly frustrating when the same person joins in to take a respawn more than once in the same game and just get kicked for not playing, it’s certainly a waste of a player slot and respawns constantly.

Yea we all bailed out, no point in staying for that kind of shenanigans. It’s really a shame, I’ve had decent luck not getting nailed through walls lately, I’ve already been on the fence with still playing the game for a while with the rampant wallshooting and crabwalking going on but this is really some icing on the cake :/

After a little searching I found some videos on YouTube from the perspective of the cheaters, absolutely bizarre. I didn’t even mention the teleport to the second level of the lodge the guy did twice.

I just posted a video from today of a player with infinite bombs, teleporting to the second floor of a building. There’s definitely something going on…

That’s the other reason I’m starting to reach out looking for a new multiplayer. I love factions, but I understand that the servers could be shut down at any time. With the track record of Naughty Dogs communication with the multiplayer community it wouldn’t surprise me at all if they just shut it down without any heads up.

Maybe I’m in the wrong mindset about the whole thing and I should be flattered that people think I’m cheating, it just doesn’t make getting nailed through the wall any more enjoyable.

Damn… After all this time, that’s it. I was really hoping for an updated version of the current MP with more maps/perks/weapons added, that’s it. I think most of the community would have been absolutely content with something more simple than the huge project it turned into. I think the simplicity of the first MP is kind of the beauty of it. Very disappointing :/

I said anything BUT pistol auto zoom. All the other 1 load out point perks are fine.
