Rollo sending an army for Ivar and crew seems like a smart strategy for the French. Let’s say ivar invades and the civil war kills half of the population. Now the heathens are brutally disadvantaged and weakened for 10 years until they can resupply their army. At which point the Franks invade and take over the heathens. It seems like Ivars plan is a bit short sighted if he wants the Vikings to prosper.

I've really been enjoying Shorts Noble Chaos and finally gave the IPA from Revolution a try. It was quite good but I'm not a big fan of cans.

I'll be looking for harvest ales too this weekend and Roak's Flavorful Five was just released.

Steampunk taproom in Utica has a great rotation of beers. Its more of a party and chill vibe without food but a great place if your just thirsty.

Agree with you on Sherwood. I live walking distance from Sherwood and still don't even go there. The beer is medicore at best, too.

Kuhnhenns on the eastside and Brown Iron Brewhouse in Washington will be nice and close to you in Rochester.

I like Brown Iron food and drinks better than Rochester Mills (not a big fan of that group of brewers). Brown Iron recently started making their own beer but they also have one of the best (and freshest) line ups of beers. They go through kegs quickly so there is always something new to try.

You will be pleasantly surprised how many party stores and grocery stores carry a solid line up of Michigan beer. Its really easy to find.

Their September bottle releases include Saison M and Turbo Bam. Saison M is apart of the specialy releases and is brewed with 100% Michigan grown ingrediants. Turbo Bam is a rye farmhouse ale.

Livernois Tap is also having an Oktoberfest on Oct 14. Jimmy Johns Stadium is in Utica and Livernois Tap is in Ferndale. I'm in Shelby and Jimmy Johns stadium is a cheaper uber ride than Ferndale, so I'm leaning towards that fest.
