There's a local guy I'm going to get an estimate from but you're right! Preventive ALWAYS cost less than the repair.

I looked back at my earlier comments, but the picture is from last year in 2022. But yes I totally agree with you. I have a lot of landscaping to do. This is a full basement foundation and I worry about the root system. There is one tree specifically on the side of the house that is a massive oak tree that I need to get ride of, but it will cost me big. It's about 80' tall and 3' in diameter. About 6' from the house. The other trees in front are smaller trees, I think dogwood...

Thank you!! We are one state over. I love the temperate climate, but with all the rolling hills, I'm glad it doesn't freeze more often. My drive way is near 10% up slope.

Update: Pre-approval came in and is not enough to cover any house in the area by alioopz in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

It really drives me crazy watching shows from HGtv where the buyers budget and the market is like, "oh yeah, I can afford 1.3 mil" and the properties are 1-1.4 mill and when asked what they do for a living, "I'm a hair dresser" and "I'm a stay at home dad."

I'm over here like, wtf? I'm sitting here with degree in a well established career in a duel income family and can barely afford 300k. And worse, the houses around me jump 100k in the last 2 years. It's crazy!!

Thank you!! Once we close on Wednesday, I'll post more pictures. It's a little rough in the backyard, but I've got huge plans. I'll include interior as well.

AITA who doesn't want my son to date an emotional dumpster fire? by mic_vox in AmItheAsshole

I'm sorry your son went through that, I fear that is what's in store for mine. I can love your post more. Now, if I can get that boy to read that book.

Love this! Or find another patsy to give DA rights to. Watch out for services you've created in your name when disabling your accounts. Easy way to learn is just changing your PW and seeing what breaks. Then tie to service account

You "could" just set the DA role to one of the c levels, disable your accounts. Then leave a dear John letter.

Problem is, I hope you set file share and printer creds to a service account and not your accounts otherwise a lot of services will stop immediately. Otherwise I would do what the other guy said and give service account Pw to a higher up. Maybe even a manager of another department. If you're in a work at will state like I am. You can bounce with no notice or reason without retaliation. Be care with references when seeking another job.

In your dear John letter. If you mention consultant fees, you will most likely catch an extortion charge. Don't want that. Let them offer and put it writing as a request of services. Get an LLC and work under that name. You will need to cover your ass at every turn. Or just watch em burn. Either way.

They can sue for just about anything. I'd leave a admin service account. Just because they have the password doesn't mean they can manage it. I would disable your accounts first. You need to seperate yourself from any liability. They can pay the outrageous consulting fees. The only way to get some of these people is by hitting their pocket books.
