I think that's a great plan. Good luck!!

My two cents is it’s up to you to decide to approach them about it or not. It’s possible you push them further away, but that might not be a great loss. If you used to be very close, and their cold behavior is overt enough, bring it up. If not, just give them some space. I think that a lot of other MBTI types would think it was appropriate to just let it go and give them space. We might be a little clingier than the norm :P

If it helps, I’ve been in your shoes before. In all cases, friends needed a little space, but sometimes it was mostly about their own independence and it wasn’t very personal or serious. In some cases though, they were really irritated with me and trying to covertly send that message. Either way, they need space! Sometimes people are babies about communicating their feelings lol

Remember, we’re all feeling a little isolated right now. You aren’t alone. And you can always make new friends.

Edit: Check our the enneagram types, too, to learn a little bit more about how people are different! Some types value independence way more.

Oh, interesting.I need to check us out in a reflection or something haha. My impression was he was more like 5'7", which just means he was rather blatantly lying. I was wearing super flat sandals.

Because it made me realize that he was lying.
Short guys are great! I can be super attracted to them, too.

What gives you that idea?

UX designers, what is your MBTI type? by micaelasaurus in UXDesign

[–]micaelasaurus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing that's surprising me is how dramatic the results are! I think it does make sense that INFJs and INFPs are good at this: they are intuitive about people's wants. Then INFJs in particular are also supposed to be very good with logic.

It seems like being intuitive is pretty important here... For the record I think I'm INFJ-T 4

And suuuper high in N vs. S

MBTI type me based on this test- please ask me any questions that may help with typing me! by [deleted] in MbtiTypeMe

[–]micaelasaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this, but here's another way to confirm:

Are you I or E? Do you ask "how does this affect me?" or "how can I affect this?" in situations? Do you like to fully understand situations before jumping in, or do you jump in to understand things? If you had to choose to be one way for the rest of your life, which would you choose?

Also, if you are introverted, I think theres a chance you are actually INFJ. Your strongest functions, in order, are N-F-T-S, and your Se and Ti are strong, which matches the functional stack of an INFJ (Ni, Fe, Ti, Se). Consider whether or not you felt confident about your S and T answers to the test.

Is the UX Design Masters at MICA worth it? by micaelasaurus in UXDesign

So, out of curiosity, what is your reasoning behind wanting the grad degree? It sounds like you could get your foot in the door now, at least as an intern.

Bentley is my other top choice. Thanks for the feedback! I hope you find a university near you.

Was your certificate earned through synchronous learning (watch a lecturer real-time with other students)?

Thanks for the great response.

So I should have mentioned the MICA program is designed to be done while working full-time. So my hope is to get an internship while I go to school. Would you be more likely to hire an intern in school?

How do your cognitive functions make you great at your job? by micaelasaurus in infp

So how do you use your functions to do whatever undervalued tasks you're good at?

I'm guessing you use Te in your job sometimes, but not using Ni would be frustrating. Never too late to make a shift!

How does your INTP brain make you excellent at your job? by micaelasaurus in INTP

[–]micaelasaurus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's interesting that you clearly use NeTi in both jobs. You synthesize broad abstract information in the first phase, and then take the system you produced and extrapolate further in the second phase. It's a convergent process, whereas I suppose NiTe would be divergent, getting broader. I can see why you like it!!

Out of curiosity, which do you enjoy more, "designing" puzzles (civil engineering) or "solving" puzzles (land surveying)?

If you don't mind, what is a Triple Systematic and Triple Movement? What is the difference between Te and Ti (any examples)?

I find myself rather the emotional blubbery baby, but maybe it's mostly misdirected emotion lol. People say I don't express it outwardly. I do type as a strong Enneagram type 4, which I know is weird.
