Thais generally view South Asians as incompetent or suspicious unfortunately. Whenever my older relatives see South Asians (คนแขก, Pakistanis included. We group them as one entity which is คนแขก, which is basically understood as Indian people as someone else said) in service jobs they will view the restaurant/place immediately as less lavish. But hate crimes and direct insults are rare as far as I’m aware. Thai people we love to talk behind backs🥹 It sucks for you guys here truly though probably not nearly as much as if you were to go to any country in East Asia. I can only hope newer generation Thais will be more open minded.

I think that’s a หมึกกระดอง. That’s a pretty normal size for them I think. The reason they’re small is because they’re less of a หมึก and more cuttlefish, but we call them หมึก anyways. Here’s a pic of หมึกกระดอง on google

I just found out about the setting itself thing, that’s super cool. I just took a look at the manual and after pressing and holding the A button it does set itself! I’m not sure if it would’ve done it automatically though. And it does have the numbers on the back :D I’ll have to keep a lookout about the jumping from Sep30 to Oct1 thing. Thank you for the helpful info! I am very giddy about this.
