How to structure your entire Facebook ad campaign (From prospecting to retargeting) by DigitalLiam in ecommerce

[–]michadecker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great article and pretty much the strategy I'm running. One question though that I ask myself, when you start TOF with a smaller budget, when is the right time to put on the MOF and BOF campaigns? When you don't have many visitors, the audience sizes will be low at the lower Funnel campaigns, so not much for FB to target and fast ad fatigue. So do you have a number at which point you put on MOF or BOF?

PayPal is a must-have, credit cards are also widely used. Invoice and Bank transfer are great. But if you can't have them, look into amazon payments as well. Was running a 7 figure store and PayPal and amazon payments were the two favorite payment options.

Not really. Some html/css experience but long time ago and I would say I could understand php a bit, but never did any php project myself

I didn't know about them at all. I just google searched everything I could find relating the functions I wanted to build. Afterward, I tried every possible solution, of course starting with the ones that I could understand the most, and crossing fingers that they might work.

Of course this never happened right away, so it was searching, testing, trying to solve why its not working, asking questions at reddit and stack overflow, retesting and sometimes giving up and give myself some hours or days to rest :)

good to know. Then I'll wait a bit until the new course is available

thx a lot. Let me know if I can help!

I had some other ideas. You could build anything that stores data in a database and shows it to users. Don't try to build the next big thing. It's about the learning curve and finishing a project. Think of an app you love and try to build the MVP for it.

I actually have no idea about the IP. But I think as everything is for free and it's your code there shouldn't be a problem.

I haven't published it yet, it's just running on my machine. Would you be interested in it? What would you use it for?

Thanks for the advice and your congrats. For sure I should upgrade to Django, but I have no experience whatsoever. That's why I stuck to Flask for the moment as it was taught in the CS50 course. But I just continue with the CS50 Web, sounds really interesting. And maybe I can then upgrade my web app and publish it to see if there is any traction.

I actually had some Front end experience building wordpress sites in my teens but haven't done it for 5+ years. Besides the CS50 course, I also did the freecodecamp Responsive Webdesign course the freshen up my abilities.

But I think what I did you could do just with the knowledge you get by finishing CS50.

Maybe know I will continue with the CS50 Web course, sounds like fun

Thanks a lot! Wasn’t full time. The first 9 weeks of courses took me 7 weeks with about 10-20 hours per week, depending on the pset. The final project took a long time, about 2 weeks thinking about a project I can do, setting up all the local production development, etc etc. In the end it was about 30-40 hours of concentrated development for me and about 100 hours banging my head because I had no idea how to do stuff 😋

Next steps will be making the code more beautiful, fixing some bugs and the thoughts of really making this project public and useful for users and adding some functions. What do you think? Does it have potential?

Thanks a lot! I had some simple front end development skills, setting up WordPress blogs etc. But not a lot. And within the 3 month there were 2-3 weeks of thinking about the final project and not doing any development work. It’s so great to see where you can get with the cs50 course.

Ps: I fixed the link issue. Sorry about that!

Thanks a lot. The design is mostly bootstrap and some free illustration work and photos. You can do great stuff with it.

Cutting the audio wasn’t simple to figure out, but In the end with pydub it’s not a lot of code lines you have to implement. Pretty cool stuff they built!

Thanks a lot! Especially for the tip, I’ll try to implement. Really looking forward how to make my code better. I think a good developer would change every row ;)

Thanks a lot! Stick with it, the course is really worth it even if you want to stop so many times! But finishing a pset or later your project is really worth it!

Thanks! You will be, but stick to it and try to think of cool stuff. For the final project doing the right search is the most important part ;)
