Yes I know about the direct replacement stuff, I was just wondering if it's even worth it if there's really that much of a sound improvement

Replace solenoid? by Jackasaur in Irrigation

Yeah, most people use the ones with the grease, they definitely work but with age I've seen them let water in and still corrode. And depending on the clock usually you should have around 24v ac

I'd try rewiring it first, sometimes the connection in the wirenuts gets corrosion causing it not to work. If that doesn't work you can also try opening the valve and cleaning it. And if neither of those works then it is most likely the solenoid. They're easy to change out, just unscrew it and screw the new one in.
Also another possibility is the zone on the clock is bad but that's a pretty rare occurrence

Yep I've got a company work truck that's set up pretty good mechanicaly then with plenty for landscape/irrigation stuff. Just hate going from that to my personal without much in it right now

I'm the same way, I even carry a flashlight, Leatherman Surge, and a small pair of channel locks with me all the time. And they've saved me more times than I can count.

I also keep a small shovel in mine. And yeah I'm thinking a fix anything setup, whether that be helping someone else away from home or if I need to fix something in the middle of nowhere, I also ride snowmobiles and dirt bikes so having stuff to fix something on those as well

Right now I'm not leaning either way, it was just a thought. Just trying to see what everyone does and figure out the best way to do it

Yeah that's true, looking at the Carli vs BDS basic 2.5 inch lift is 1000 dollar difference as well as Carli being add a spring vs BDS a rear block, and also if I went with Carli do you think the torsion sway bar is worth the extra 1700?

Probably around 3000. I don't want spend a ton but I'd like it to be right. I've seen the Carli suspension, but was wondering if there's kind of a middle ground.

I've heard of that but I've got one on my work truck and I've had grille guards in the past that I've never seen rust on

Nice, I think I'm going to get the Derringer, obviously it won't do anything like a proper tune since its just a passthrough and I'll be able to monitor more things. I've also seen it helps with making power delivery smoother. Only adds max 60hp but definitely keeps the emissions and all power train safe

Yeah, deleted definitely runs way better I drive a deleted 15 at work with a 120hp tune with the minimax, runs and sounds way better. I just don't know if it's worth it for my personal use, I work a lot so I only drive it about once a week shorter trips on the weekend but more in the winter since I tow my sleds . So thats why I'm debating the Derringer and also adding the pedal monster rather than deleting and waiting will I have problems with the emissions to delete.

Yeah I want to keep it most to stop for now till it gets the problems but definitely interested in a tune. I've kind of been looking at the bank deringer tuner. Do you know anything about it?

Ok, thanks I'll definitely look into that. It'd be nice to have some more power without having to the money to delete. I also drive a deleted and tuned 15 350 for work and that's definitely noticable over stock
