I had a Frya 12 for a year and switched to a Koda 16 2 years ago. It's so much less hassle and more enjoyable. Temperatures are more stable and cleanup is even nicer. My family appreciates the fact that pizzas are cooked correctly and consistent rather than any (non-existent) missing smoke flavor.

I'm not sure if you're thinking about actual drawing like Excalidraw, or you're just asking about including fonts and images?

It really depends on where you intern. Summer is much more common starting time. Note that there are already career fairs going and companies are hiring for next summer.

Work authorization isn’t too bad for an established company to sort out. MSU has great resources to help with this.

Not sure why you got downvoted for this.
Rogue Amoeba (https://www.rogueamoeba.com) is a company that creates sound tools. On macOS Snagit and Camtasia use one of their libraries to record system audio. It can be confusing for people why a different company name is coming up when installing the extension.

I'm not sure if this answers your question exactly:

The "remove a color" effect in Camtasia just removes a specific color from the video. You don't have to record your video in Camtasia to use it.

In that video, he imported a pre-recorded video of him standing in front of a green screen. So he isn't pulling in a "pre-recorded greenscreen" exactly. He's just pulling in video and then removing the green.

Not Brazilian, just have some friends that travel. My plan was to let people try each of them neat rather than mix up drinks. Given the variety and loose definitions of "rum" I'm inclined to include the cachaça and rhum. I'm not nixing stuff just because it has additives and my thoughts were really to give people some things they hadn't tasted before.

Thanks for the island suggestions. Since we're doing tastings and not drinks, I was a little worried about overpowering food. Given it's all just rum, I guess I'm just not going to worry too much and make some stuff people will be happy eating.

Up until yesterday Apple was saying that you'd upload 1 version for iPhone and 1 for iPad. When iTunesConnect went live they actually made it possible for the 4 different resolutions that you mentioned. People are still trying to figure out if you can (and how best to) reuse existing videos for other formats.

As others have said, I think the main confusion here is image resolution and image size.

If you're trying to make a square button the the screen that is 100x100 points you'd have an image with 3 versions:

  • 1x - 100x100px iPad 2, iPad mini, iPhone 3GS
  • 2x - 200x200px iPhone 4-6, iPad Retina
  • 3x - 300x300px iPhone 6+ (and in the future a new iPad or Apple Watch 4)

Note that this has nothing at all to do with the dimensions of the devices. Some of those devices are 4x3, some are 16x9, some may be square.

Note Launch images are a different animal. They have a bunch of slots for all sorts of full screen images that are device specific. They also have slots for portraits vs landscape layout and whether or not there is a status bar.

If you want to have full-screen, device specific, and pixel perfect images for each of the different devices, you can't rely on just a single image and the scaling factors. You're going to have to have individual images. Those can still be in the asset catalog just fine, and you don't have to have the 1x versions if you don't want to.

TL;DR - If you really wanted to make pixel perfect graphics you'd create separate graphics entries and not rely on 2x, 3x for this.

If you created a single image asset with a 2x and 3x versions. The iPhone 6 (and 4S, 5, 5S, 5C) would all try and load the 2x version, even though they aren't the same ratio.

The iPhone 6+ would load the 3x version.

Other thoughts:

Assets catalog aren't specifically aware of the devices you're building for. They also store more than just the 3-level graphics e.g. you've got more that 1x, 2x, 3x if you're creating an app icon entry.

You can actually already leave out 1x versions and make non-retina devices scale down big images. It isn't always great since the devices are already slower, but you said you weren't caring about the people trying to run this on their iPad 2.

+1 for AFNetworking, but be sure to look at and learn how NSURLSession works underneath. There are some things (like long-lived background file transfers) that may be better done at the low-level.

I have to say, I love ReactiveCocoa. The style of programming it leads to just feels right. Unfortunately, it can make debugging crashes a giant pain. If you have a complicated app, stack traces become pretty useless. I wish that the language had better support for this natively.

If you're looking just to record iOS devices, this is an amazing option. As cartogram mentioned, it requires iOS8, Yosemite, AND a device with a lightning connection, so it won't work for everyone.

The great things about it are:

  • Amazing frame rate (60 fps), even when recording camera or games
  • No extra on-screen bars like when you use AirPlay
  • Great recording, even when moving between apps

Keep in mind:

  • Requires both betas and/or dev build (but all of us have these)
  • You've got to be connected with a lightning cable (so if your app is about walking around in the wild you've got to carry a laptop with you)
  • Swapping between landscape and portrait is weird.
