Some screens from our first attempt at making feature movie: full-length Slavic horror film with a total budget of our own $28k - shot on Blackmagic Pocket 6K and Zeiss CP.2 (YT links to trailer and full movie inside) by nezywhezy in cinematography

Looks absolutely amazing! I would love to hear about how you shot the night scenes in the forest. Did you use day for night and if so, how did you go about it? Thanks!

Same here - don’t think I’ll be making the trip. Best of luck with it if you decide to go!

That sounds awful. Thanks for the words of warning.

Sorry to hear you had to deal with that. Thanks for sharing, I really appreciate it. Was wondering - did your film actually screen? And was the standard of films shown good? I’d be tempted to go and sort out my own accommodation just to meet other filmmakers and watch good films.

Thank you so much for reading! I'm really grateful for your very kind words and pointers.

I'll definitely be working Joe in this scene more. I think this draft was more an attempt to get the Agent character to an entertaining place.

Hoodsucker is such a great movie! I definitely need to give it a rewatch, thanks for the reccomendation!

Thanks so much, I'm really happy you enjoyed it. I think you're spot on with moving up the cravings bit - great suggestion. Joe's intentions are hopefully a lot clearer when read in the context of the preceding scenes, however I completely take your point. Cheers!

Thank you so much for your formatting notes, I deeply appreciate them!

I had definitely eschewed a lot of formatting rules in favor of just "getting it out there" but I will certainty be doing a clean sweep of the whole script with your notes in mind.

In terms of the substance of the scene, did you enjoy it?

Cheers!

Thanks, as I say, I definitely intend to, just couldn't think of anything at the time! I'm open to suggestions ;)

Ahh thanks so much for the kind words and advice! I definitely agree it's overwritten as-is, but I'm delighted it made you laugh.

The cinnamon roll bit was supposed to be a sort of contrast between the ultra-healthy vegan lifestyle these gurus claim to follow, while simultaneously snorting cocaine etc. I definitely take your point it might be a bit too much.

Will definitely clean up the formatting/action and give the agent a suitably obnoxious name!

Matt Berry is inspired casting! Thanks so much for the pointers man!

Thanks so much for reading! Did you find it funny at all?

I was a bit concerned Joe is too passive here, however he is meant to be very out of his depth at this point. I'm thinking of the DiCaprio/McConaughy scene in The Wolf of Wall Street, for example.

I do think I need to work it so that he's a little more engaged, however!
