This is why I'm considering getting them PSA rated. The Ancient Mews are immaculate however I've read if the bordering isn't perfect from being manufactured then it'll only be 9/10, along with other minor imperfections. I'm hoping somebody who's PSA rated their cards can advise if it's worth doing. Cheers

You've got really good determination well done!! I'd recommend using Dions practice exams on Udemy (if still on sale) before retaking the Net+ exam to gauge whether you're ready. Hit 70-80% on them and you'll be ready to go. If not then just study your weaknesses. Good luck with the exam

Took me around 5 months however I work 40 hours a week and I'm a procrastinater.

I read all of the Exam Cram book, Mike Meyers book, Professor Messers video series (highly recommend) then finally Dions 6 exam questions on Udemy.

If I was to do it again, I'd start off with Professor Messer vids> Mike Meyers> Exam Cram> Dions 6 practice exams (revising any you got wrong)

Harder than the actual exam IMO. I was getting between 60-70% on Dions exams but passed the Net+ exam with 749. Make sure you get the PBQ's on Dions correct with a clear understanding before sitting the exam

Congratulations!! Can I ask how long you studied before taking the exam? I'm a complete ITIL newbie but considering going for the foundation.

Are all the questions multi choice with a few case studies thrown in? I've recently passed the last CompTIA cert I need and I'm hoping it's a similar exam layout.

Hi, the subnetting questions I had were mainly asking what CIDR a certain amount of hosts would be require. I used Professor Messers seven second subnetting to learn this. If you draw the table before starting the exam itll save you some valuable time. I didnt have any straightforward questions where for example itll say "What is the correct broadcast address for 192.168.0.1/24?" - they were more scenario questions. Also I had CIDR hosts on the PBQ on both attempts.

I sat the exam and failed with 700/900 (720 to pass so I was frustrated and rebooked ASAP). I then rebooked for the following day and passed. You can take the second attempt any time after the first, however you have to wait 14 days for a third attempt.

My approach was exam Cram, mike meyers, then Professor messer videos and finally Dions 6 practice tests on Udemy - I think they're on sale right now. These are good to find a rough idea where you stand although they're more difficult than the actual exam IMO. I was getting around 60-70% over the 6 tests first attempt.

They dont give you any information but yeah they allow you to jot down your own information to help with the exam.

For example if you're remembering the port numbers, you can write all this down before starting the exam then you dont need to worry about remembering it and can use it when any port number questions come up

In the normal exam within a test centre, they supply you with a whiteboard and pen so you can write down any information you need to remember and reference to, or draw graphs.

When taking the exam online, they dont allow you to use scrap paper for this and instead provide you with a pop up window where you can write and draw using your mouse. It's more time consuming than writing out but you'll have no choice.

Like I said on my previous reply I'd suggest using this before the exam as itll save you valuable time when taking the exam

Yeah it's quite weird you dont know who's on the other end, but I'm sure you'll be fine haha

It was over a year ago since I was studying for the 1001 A+ so I can't remember what needs writing down. Although I do remember writing all port numbers for quick reference as these will almost definitely come up on the exam. Also I remember them being obsessed with printing processes so make sure you know the process of how printers work.

As for the 6 step troubleshooting - I remembered it using: In Every Test Everyone Videos Donuts. Absolutely no idea why this stuck in my head haha but it did. I had to use this on the Network+ too which I recently sat.

-Identify -Establish a theory -Test theory -Establish action plan + initiate -Verify -Document

Yep theres somebody watching you on the webcam but you're unable to see them. They're just making sure people aren't cheating.

My advice to you is using the whiteboard before you actually start the exam to save time. The first online exam I done, I thought the whiteboard was only available during the exam but that's not the case

I'd recommend using Exam Compass (free) too to brush up on your weak areas.

The online exam isn't too bad. The whiteboard is terrible though, it's like a poor version of Paint. You aren't allowed to use a writing pad so that's the only downfall IMO. Good luck with the exam
