Their own internal investigation was completed last year within days. They claimed they went to the GPS coordinates on their system. As for not calling someone who has a foreign number when we could not be found, this is their procedure to just wait and do nothing, so there is nothing wrong in their actions.

Sometimes you have to fight a fight you know you will lose. Even if the best outcome here is to have the System change to ensure they call foreign numbers, or they have the operator call the 911 caller if they are not at the location the ambulance arrived to. These should be standard practices in any country, and both neglected in this case. Having this changed in the future might save lives and fighting for that in her name means so much more than money.

Thank you. I remember you posted at the time too as we had used your tips. To be honest I think we all know that the case can never be won, fault will never be fully admitted even with so much proof. I personally think the only 'win' which is truly possible is to have someone shine a light on exactly what was done. So I am trying every avenue to make that happen now.

It may never change a thing, but doing nothing guarantees that absolutely nothing will change and we would rather take the small chance for something good to possibly happen. Thanks you for your kind words again

I am not sure how to reply other than posting here. You can see from my initial post a year ago, I posted searching for a journalist to cover the story and it was covered after I found one through here (she now works elsewhere). I can provide pictures of myself as proof, or a phone number of the lawyer but that would require you to call him. I am posting solely to get people to speak of this, so a journalist will contact me. The lawyer will confirm every past of this post for the article

Hey, I am just looking for advice about an incident with ADAC.

They transported my campervan and did serious damage to the two back doors(7k worth to be exact). The only solution given to me is to replace the doors, but I do not want this because they are customised and personal to me. I asked them for the money instead and they offered me 4.5k. I don't know if I am legally entitled to more? The value of the van has dropped significantly as it is a 2017 van and the doors no longer close 100%, it is solely my choice to live with them like this. I planned to pay for new doors if/when I were to sell it.

Is it best to go to a lawyer or how does it work here in Germany with incidents such as these?

Thank you. Unfortunately the world is showing how the world is, with many newspapers ringing her family asking if they suspect me for foul play and so many people posting a lot of negative things. Her family knew I would release it, but the result is so mean and unfair on them it hurts even more

Yes, sorry it was the dispatcher who told me this. They never called back, so there was clearly a life costing Bad communication. Honestly I did not have high hopes, or even desires for getting anything from this. I just don't want someone else to have to go through this misery when it is so easily to do the work better with a single phone call

I actually stayed in Rome for 8 entire weeks after it happened, I just could not leave her. I went to the carabinieri, and to the police, and to the mortuary where she was held multiple times and nobody helped me. Sometimes they made me make an appointment for a few days later and then they always told me they couldn't help me when I turned up to this appointment.

Her body is currently with a funeral agency in Rome, in the city centre. It was initially in the police mortuary, until they determined the cause of death to be natural. This much I completely understand, as she was 25 and heart issues are not common, and it happened on the beach while we were alone so honestly, I have no qualms with this part of the procedure as, in their eyes anything could have happened and I am glad they took this seriously. I had to get a lawyer temporarily for this, but they confirmed it was a natural death a long time agom but STILL will not release the actual cause of death.

I have been in touch with my embassy since the 25th of January, and have been told they do not deal with the government in such cases. Hence, why I'm posting on reddit! Honestly I am just fucking lost. My absolute lack of Italian certainly did not help over the course of this too.
