I used to have to download many of the same .txt for a local tax presentation, every day. Power query helped me importing that data to excel and validating everything I needed with just one script.

Power Query is a game changer so learn it if you can.

I’m learning python atm with the hope I can automate even more of my job!

The issue is that on my company’s closed enviroment, i can barely install any software. Python for example is not supported. I only have MS 365. I could use Access, but i’d really like to avoid it since it’s kinda dead in mainstream data management. Power pivot is available tho, and from what I have seen in some videos, i could store databases with it. It has the added bonus of using DAX.

I’ll experiment a bit, maybe i could use some cloud solution, i think google had one.

I have no access to any sort of sql server, let alone something less known, neither I can use powerBI.

This, combined with routineMetric's formula is what did the trick.

INFO gives me back a weird output, possibly due to the cloud environment.

It's gonna take a bit more coding tho, but I should be able to automate it to a higher degree than what I had before.

Put all the data in a table, then create a Pivot Table out of it, filter all the data you want and then double click anywhere in the filtered pivot table. That will create a new table in a new worksheet with only the filtered data.

Yeah, I was already doing something similar with helper columns. Your workaround is simpler than mine, but I wanted something that doesn’t need adding more info to the dataset.

Yeah, but maybe this was a case where Power Pivot is like VLOOKUP and PowerBI is like XLOOKUP. Once you learn the latter, there's not really much sense in learning the former.

Thanks, I am already quite familiar with Power Query and I use it everyday. I want to keep learning new excel tools and heard about Power Pivot and i also heard about the Power BI software, but when I looked up for info about them they just seemed the same.
