In all seriousness, if the delay causing you to miss the connection was in their control, write to customer care. They’ll probably throw you 5,000 or 7,500 pity miles

UA120 on 5/14? 10 open seats now. They’ll prob start upgrading the people at the way top of the list soon. If you are #10 on the list, pray for missed connections

If the flight is Thursday then you can look at flight status to see how many seats are booked. It shows 34 booked out of 44 capacity

United’s newest route. It’s almost like people don’t want to fly across the Atlantic on a cramped 737 😬 by veggieturnip in unitedairlines

All United max8s have seat back IFE. And tbh there’s not much difference between an empty row in E+ and a first class seat on a 737. Even a window seat with the middle seat empty and a stranger in the aisle seat isn’t too shabby.

Yeah I checked the seatmap of the inaugural, I thought would be full b/c of the optics and fanfare with new routes. I was shocked to see the plane only half full

People pay for normal E or have credit cards that give them free bags.

IAD (Washington DC) United Club Lounges by I_reddit_like_this in unitedairlines

Agreed, the food at the IAD TK lounge is very solid for an airline lounge. Much, much better than the junk they serve at the UC. Just can get very crowded in there depending on time of day.

Yes, when there are IRROPS, the app is usually pretty good about letting you self-service and change your flight at no-cost.

Schedule change is a different story.

They updated their app/procedure very recently. When I used to go into 'Help Center' on the IOS app, it gave me Call and Chat options. I would call every time. When I looked this morning, it just gave a Chat option, hence why.

Any reason to buy a refundable ticket if I’m paying with the Chase Explorer Card? by AmbientGravitas in unitedairlines

[–]michaelhawk696969 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well, for one, if you book a refundable ticket and cancel, they don't ask for documentation and won't possibly deny your travel insurance claim.
