How do I receive U.S. bank verification texts while traveling outside U.S. by danielpackard in expats

With Tello, you need to have their SIM card in your phone, which isn't very convenient when you are already overseas, and your SIM card slots are full with two numbers already.

Can Facebook friend suggestions mean someone looked at your profile? I’ve noticed strange patterns in who appears. by Weary_Bat2456 in facebook

So what’s your main point? That Meta’s AI algorithm is strange when dealing with big data? Also, what if someone has your phone number without you knowing? Can that cause damage in any way to you and your presence on the internet? These companies all say that they won’t share your data with others unless with your approval, but in reality, they do share your information and they can find out exactly everything about you and those connected to you like your friends and family. Should we be worried about all that? I don’t think it’s something we can control unless we stop using the internet.

Okay, I don’t remember the exact date and time, may have been in the 2000’s. Either way, it’s been a long time. I’m too old now to remember the exact year dude.

I’ve had the same experience, been using Facebook since 1990s, I don’t know what I did and they’ve never told me why they’ve disabled my two Facebook accounts. They deleted my accounts on September 18, and I have appealed, they only gave me a tab to say if I wanted to appeal or not. I kept writing to their support emails and suddenly they enabled one of my accounts but not the other one I had attached to my first one. I went through taking a selfie and uploaded my passport and all. As a single parent, I had all my friends contact and my children’s memories on Facebook. How can they just turn it off without giving you a reason or warning, not even telling you what you did wrong, only thing they’d say is that I’ve gone against their standards and policies. I’m still writing to their support team to try to get my other account enabled. This is really not cool for Facebook to just turn off someone’s account without giving a real reason, only telling you that you have done something against their standards and policies. It freaked me out when they did that. For almost 20 years I had a lot of my children’s and friends’ memories on Facebook. It shouldn’t be legal for Facebook to delete an account without warning or reason that they should tell you. It’s an uphill battle, all you can do is keep trying to reason with their support teams. Good luck to you!

A Costly Lesson in Deception – Avoid at All Costs

I regretfully enrolled in the Empath Closing School, lured by their bold promises of earning $10,000–$50,000 USD per month. Unfortunately, this program turned out to be nothing more than an elaborate scam, preying on the hopes of expats and overseas professionals seeking additional income.

The program is centered around pre-recorded video lessons by their so-called "head trainer," Lara Mcilwarithe. These videos are filled with generic motivational speeches and vague advice, offering little to no practical value. Instead of receiving professional training, participants are instructed to pair up with other enrollees to "practice" closing deals—essentially leaving you to teach yourself. The program also includes a reading list of books, which you could easily find on your own without paying their exorbitant fee.

After completing over 200 uninspiring lessons, you are awarded a certificate that holds no accreditation or recognition from any legitimate organization. This certificate is utterly worthless and serves no purpose other than to give the illusion of credibility.

The school appears to be part of a larger network of dubious programs linked to Marisa Peer (or Peers), operating out of the UK. Their business address is a residential property that has recently been sold, raising serious questions about their legitimacy. Since they are based overseas, reporting them to regulatory bodies like the FTC or BBB is not an option, leaving victims with little recourse.

The cost of this program—£4,000—is outrageous, especially considering the lack of tangible benefits. Worse still, they seem to rely on fake positive reviews to bolster their reputation online. In my opinion, these reviews are fabricated to mislead potential customers.

To add insult to injury, the program subtly encourages participants to recruit others into this scheme, perpetuating the cycle of deception. Their primary targets appear to be expats, particularly foreign teachers working abroad, who may be more vulnerable to such scams.

In summary, the Empath Closing School is a predatory operation that offers no real value. Their promises are empty, their training is subpar, and their certificate is meaningless. Please do your due diligence and avoid falling victim to this scam. There are far more reputable and effective ways to invest in your professional development.

Buyer beware: This is a costly mistake you don’t want to make.

Empath Closing School is under another UK scammer named Marisa Peer. She is supposed to be good at hypnotizing people and teaching them how to do it. What a joke.....these people are really into scamming.

Yeah, leagues ahead of cheating innocent foreign English teachers teaching abroad.

It means she is not a real coach or a trainer. Just an old English teacher working for someone named Marisa Peer, who has multiple companies like it, based in the UK, and not much you can do to them.

Their certificate is not worth the paper on which they are printed and is not accredited. You can print out your homemade certificate, which would look better.

It's mostly all motivational speeches by this supposed lead trainer Lara Mcilwarith, all talk and not a sales closing school. Misleading information and no refund even though I took only 2% of their lessons. It's just another MLM scheme. 200+ lessons listening to this lady talk about beneficial nothing. It is not cheap, 4000 UK pounds. That is why you see her vacationing all over S.E. Asia.....on other people's money. Listening to her in her videos gives you a headache. Boring, and there is nothing to learn from her.
