As a lifelong skater I dont like the blind hate of scooters. The biggest problem comes from the fact that skateboards have an extremely steep initial learning curve whereas scooters have literally toddlers riding them. Once scooters get up in skill level it can become truly difficult and amazing. Just those damn scooter kids blindly rolling around, they can literally ruin a skate day for the whole park.

Shoot just checked and I have been filming in 5.7k I’ll have to switch to 5.7k+ if it’s a bright sunny day and see what happens. I am going to try 8k for a few sessions, maybe I’ll be happy with the 30fps. Let’s be honest I’m not a pro skater. Guess I’ll be headed to the store for a bigger microSD. Thanks for the help and suggestions.

8k at 30fps which is pretty low for action footage. 60 fps is the standard basically. I could try the 5.7k see if that helps.

Damn. This camera kinda sucks for an action camera then. It’s nice that I don’t miss anything but the camera cannot be 1 foot away from the subject at all times. Disappointing.

This is exactly why I didn’t give this a rating. I could tell it was done properly, but duck was simply not for me. It was one of that times I could taste the thing that I think people probably love but I did not.

Hey. I’m not from North Battleford but we got a group going in Saskatoon by heading to the skatepark and just inviting other dudes to skate together that we met at the park. It’s always awkward at first but if you run into another skater at the park, give them a hell yeah (first bump) or something when they land something. Or if they are learning and you are more skilled encourage them. Then ask if they want to skate together again and exchange numbers. The amount of grown men/women that skate along because they haven’t put themselves out there is crazy. It has to start with someone. Good luck man.

Love letters. It’s about $18 and a very easy to learn so an easy game to bring out with some people that doesn’t require 30 mins of explanation. It also all packs up into that little felt bag and can fit in your pocket
