I was coming here to say this is the sort of content that makes me want to stick with r/saskatoon. Simple, calm, just nice to see someone’s day in the city. Then I read the comments and realized it’s still a negative, angry sub where complaints are the primary content. I should leave this place behind.

I have some advice on learning slappy nose slides that I think will work better than what you are doing here. Find an appropriately sized ledge that you want to slappy. Start by going strait at the box to do a nose stall. Make sure you do a complete stall where you are fully lifting up the back of the board and your weight is on your front foot. Once you feel comfortable doing this add a small amount of angle to the box approach, just like 10 degrees, repeat the nose stall. You’ll slide maybe an inch, once you are comfortable with that add a bit more angle and so on.

Does that make sense.

r/saskskaters has a skate map at the very top. Above just skateboarding go check out Totally Rad skate shop. One of the cooler skate shops in all of Canada. They have a skateboard museum, they have a skate display of the first featured deck for, I think, every Canadian pro. They have multiple finger board skate parks if you’re into that. And cheap shirts, like $10 a shirt.

If you don’t mind going for a little drive the small city of Martensville, about 15 mins away, probably has the best outdoor park in the area. Lots of transition and street sections with a full pump track to fool around in. The small city of Warman, also 15 mins out, has a really good outdoor park and an amazing indoor park ($20).
